What did you do with your truck/shop today

Drove mine to Thanksgiving dinner. Turned over 244k miles on the way there.

It carried me here to steak n shake for a milk shake, and I'm assuming home as well. Need to replace that #3 glow plug still, maybe this weekend. Almost washed the truck today.

Put LEDs in my 2017 Chevy Silverado and my backup camera is blurry now. Removed then to see if that was the problem so I have been trying to figure out what is wrong today. Any help???

Lights are so bright they wash out the camera image

During the middle of the day it does it. When I can't even tell if the LEDs are on or not.

Yeah, the Chevy bowtie ain't what it used to be. I instantly hated that the second I saw it. Found some cheap vinyl decals on eBay back in '07 the day I brought it home, and ordered them up. Just shy of 10 years and still holding strong.

 

I just hope I never have to replace them - lining them up and sticking them without bubbles was a MAJOR pain in the ass.

Could be electrical noise. Did you buy them from an established seller? The name brand stuff costs more for a reason unfortunately.

Today I sold the 5 month old Better Built tool box. At least it went to another GM owner. One step closer to repossession of the truck though. At least the $200 I got for the box will help pay a few bills for another month.

I started to do that, but I wanted ice cream before hand. Then went shopping with my buddy and his dad.

 

That followed me home.

 

Still haven't gotten those groceries :-(

 

 

Got home and installed the LED vanity lights since the seller of the kit sent me the correct size needed, free of charge too.

 

 

I don't even use those vanity lights. Really need to get my buddy to put the resistors in so I can have the dome lights match the rest of the interior. Then I need to find good replacements for the exterior lights.

Drive to Home Depot today to buy a toilet brush. Found it to be the right size to clean the black stuff from the inside of the Corsa tip with some Adam's APC

Today working on a stubborn cluster which the client claims fails to turn ''on'' once in a while. Been trying on and off for 16 hours and the thing lights up on the bench every single time. I even put it in the freezer for an hour thinking it might be cold related.This is one frustrating cluster. I can't really troubleshoot it when it works fine other than to try and look for cold solders but with my old eyes in the microscope I can only do about 10 minutes at a time. I'm going to give it an other couple of days and if it doesn't die I'll put it back together and retry it in the truck.

Been using my truck to black friday shop the past couple days. I've been treating myself, maybe a little too much. It all started Thursday morning while waiting in the Gander parking lot at 430am lol. Bought a Ruger Precision Rifle in 6.5 Creedmoor

 

 

Then Thursday evening rolls around, I bought myself a 40" LED Smart TV, and then yesterday bought the Samsung sound bar with subwoofer for $85, killer deal couldn't pass that up

 

 

Then last night I bought another rifle, whoops. But for $250 after mail in rebate I couldn't pass up on the deal. I don't have a pic of it but it's a savage axis xp chambered in .308 and came with a cheapo Bushnell 3-9x40 mounted and claim it's boresighted.

 

Also bought 10 boxes of 9mm, after $5 mail in rebate per a box, it's gonna be $60 for 500 rounds of 9mm, couldn't pass it up. Probably gonna buy more today again as well lol.

 

All in all I got lucky on a lot of deals. Oh, I also bought a Vortex PST 6-24x50 brand new in box on ebay as well as a scope mount, scope caps, and keymod bipod adapter. I need to quit spending money
