I don't think I've ever seen a vehicle in the runaway truck ramps. I've only been east coast mountains so that might be why too.

There signs up that state recommend downhill speed for weight. 40k 38mph, 80k 18mph.

Longest downhill 6% grade I have been on. Think it's 6 miles into Pendleton.

I went down almost whole time 50 mph 3rd gear.

I remember watching a tractor trailer come down a 12% grade on some back highway out in AZ - thought the trailer brakes were going to catch fire. Never seen so much smoke in my life! Billowing clouds. Stunk like hell too!

Luckily he got to the bottom before they got hot enough to ignite the grease. Another half mile and there would've been fire, guaranteed!

Seen quite a few out along the west coast. Even watched one go into the pit.

Life's a Beech! A Beechcraft 18 that is. I love those things. Is it yours? She is beautiful!

This morning in the shop I repaired and sold FOBs for a 2005 Silverado. Then I sold a cluster for a 2004 Silverado because the owner had brought his to a guy to get the mileage backed up and this guy fried the odometer eeprom chip and other stuff and I couldn't fix it. Then I repaired an other 2004 Silverado cluster for a manual truck, don't see many of these. I'm actually tired now, didn't get to sleep a lot last night!!! Kept waking up from bad dreams.

Notice no PRND321 display...

Today in the shop I LEDed a light dimmer switch, a lot tougher than I'd hoped. Worked and looks good.

Then decided to throw an LED behind the thumbwheel. There's no stock lighting there but thought it'd be a good idea.

Took the zip ties off and put the replacement tailgate clip thing in, replaced both since I had both and the tailgate apart. Kept the old one as a spare just in case. Retorqued the wheels and adjusted air pressure. I think I might have to add more balancing beads or something, the balance issue got worse. Maybe one day soon I'll wash my truck.

Swapped back to the original wheels and tires. Getting ready to take her in for service. I want the dealer to see if there are any transmission updates and possibly have them start looking for a vibration at 70 ish. Hate to take it in because I don't want a bunch of morons driving it, moving it around to different parking spaces every 10 mins, etc. No one respects your own vehicle like yourself.
