If I add this to my 2012 GMC Sierra SL will this add the outside temp to my display?

No I think your truck has to come with a gauge for outside temp to show up on the instrument panel.

There is an EPIC thread on this mod that was started by user DADDY six years ago and going strong! Yes, it's super easy and plug & play. I just did it myself.

 

The question about avg mileage not updating? If it had never been reset, you are looking at the calculated average of the life of the truck. Would take a whole lot of driving just to get it to change even a tenth of a mile.

YES IT WILL! Less than a $100 mod. I got mine from GM PARTS DIRECT. Look for the pinned thread by DADDY.

Just installed the DIC parts today in a 2013 2500HD LS. Works great and so simple that even I could do it.
