Convert between electric struts and normal

Hey,

 

I have a 2003 GMC sierra that has 4WD and electronic struts. I'm going to replace the shocks in the rear and i'm looking at 500 each!

Is there a kit or an easy way to modify my truck to accept the cheaper shocks?

 

I think the fronts are fine for now, but there has to be a better solution!!
