Body color front end GMC is great looking. I like some aspects of the Chevy too but some pics it appears a bit busy up front. I'll definitely try to make it to the Detroit Auto Show this year to get a look at one in person.

How does a company let their design team go from a balanced, clean, classy & classic look like this:

to an unbalanced, cartoonish look like this:

What is with the backlights on the knobs, do I need the sensation I'm at Club Oz while cruising down I75? The red on the GMC is even worse. GMC should not be Pontiac like, GMC's marketed as professional grade. How many professionals do you know choose Pontiac as their ride of choice while taking potential customers to business development lunches? Why did y'all let the left panel with the 4wd / headlight switches be so unbalanced/unsymmetrical? Top level, it looks like someone cut 5 holes in a large leather dash mat leaving holes for the gauge cluster, headlight switch cluster, radio / ac cluster, and passenger vent. Heck, the center of the dash pad looks like its dilated 50 centimenters and the infotainment center is crowning. It looks gaudy, no other way to put it.

Now on to the positives.

The exterior of this Chevy looks nice, clean, and balanced. Good job!

This GMC All Terrain looks great! Minus the LED daytime running lights on the headlights. Why did you feel the need to be 87th to the market with head bezels surrounded in LEDs. Good job on the Silverados keeping it clean with angel eye halos though.

I'll wait to see them in person, but the interior is killing me. Perhaps I can get passed it and pick one up, I'll be saddened if I cannot, as I am die hard GM.

I offer up my services pro bono to design / model a mid life dash refresh to be available in 2 years using all buttons / knobs already implemented (with possible exception of the heated / cooled seats buttons). I'll be at the Marriott @ the Renaissance center for the NAIAS in Jan 18-22 if you would like to sit down and discuss.

I like them both! I will definitely be buying one eventually. Not sure which I like better as I like aspects from each but I think I'll have to wait and see what they look like in person.

Honestly, I'm loving the new dash. It looks straight forward and easy to use....I just about jumped ship to a Ford F150 this year and after screwing around with the MyFordTouch system, I like that GM still kept big knobs and buttons for everything. Even my mustang has climate settings which require me to flip to the climate screen which is pretty damn annoying when I'm trying to keep the car on the road.

The red lighting in the GMC is appealing to me as I do alot of night driving so that'll help with eye fatigue and keeping the night vision tuned.

And surprisingly, the front end on the Chevy is really starting to grow on me as well.

Well, it sounds like people either love it or hate it!

The exterior is nice. I really like the Chevy grill. The color-matched GMC is really nice as well. But the interior is what I like most about this new model! Very up to date now and makes my 2011 interior seem plain and boring.

I'll target a 2015. I've got some good enjoyment left in my 2011 first!

I like the Silverado the best. I HATE the interior and it will never grow on me. I also hate how they are putting AFM on every engine, and that is enough for me to not buy one. I also hate how they decided to drop the Vortec name for one that's the same name as an engine in a Chevy Cruze.

No new trucks for me. I think I'll get an SS or G8 after my truck is paid for instead.

What's the difference? Vortec is just a whimsical made up name. I think they are better looking than the current GMT900 lineup hands down. The GMC is a much nicer design.

Doesn't make a bit of difference just dumb if you ask me. I also thought that Vortec had a meaning because of how the air circulated into the engine or something along those lines so therefore it's not just made up there's a reason behind it.

Most of us that really care about the V8's will be using their LT1 based RPO codes anyhow when we discuss them, haha.
