2014+ Suspension Lifts

Recommended Posts

Looks good Nate. Anymore pics, side view, track width shots?

I have taken pictures nearly every day this past week! haha! I get super excited to drive my truck, like a teenager who just got their first car. Here are more pictures. Shoot me a PM if you want a better side shot of the track width than what is below. I can take one tomorrow for you. I asked a dozen guys a dozen questions about their trucks when deciding what to do with mine and don't mind paying it forward!

That really does look nice. How do you like those Amp power steps? I like the way it gives to appearance of the truck sitting taller.

I love the steps. I'm really happy I put them on. It does make the truck appear taller. I think it looks better than the chrome step. I didn't mind the chrome step before lift. The OEM step matches the chrome trim well and at stock height, it seems to provide better function as a step given its height. More importantly than looks though is that the amp steps drop 5.5 inches lower than the chrome step and this makes getting in and out of the truck a non-issue for the wife, kid, and others. My 2 year old loves climbing up and down on these things. You can add a 2" extension piece to drop it even lower but I like where it is at.

My dad has them on his all stock Denali and they seem to drop too low unless you have a lift on these trucks.

They are pretty cool too. Which is always a good reason to do something! Haha :)

DiD you have to run any wheel spacers with the lift, I am really looking at the 4.5 zone with the same wheels, truck looks sick by the way!

Looks really good Nate. Im sold. Gonna get some quotes this weekend. Still trying to see If I can get 35s on stock wheels with the 4.5 lift

You're looking at the zone 4.5 for a 2014+ GM 1500, right? What size wheels do you have now? Here's a screenshot of their specs for that kit. I suggest calling them and telling them what it is you're wanting to do and see what they advise. I called BDS before selecting my kit and they had a lot of good info. I just stuck to the tire spec they recommend with my size wheel and lift and I have no issues. No rubbing or trimming.

I have these http://www.texastrucktire.com/uploads/4/4/9/1/44915107/s160087193180611566_p5_i1_w640.jpeg 20" stock. I see the 4.5 can squeezed the 35s with this setup. although this is not ideally what id like but I want to keep that stock look to see what it looks like. Does anyone have that setup 4.5 with 35s and stock 20s?

Also Nate, what shops did you recommend for Socal? I couldnt find where we had talked about that. Thanks again

Got mine back yesterday.

Zone 4.5" Lift

Method Racing "Standards", 20x9, +18mm offset

BFG AT KO2 285/65R20

Really haven't had any rubbing yet at all. I *thought* there was a little when backing out of a spot yesterday at full lock but it may have just been the road. No signs of it anywhere.
