This was taken last week when I filled up. So far I have put this many miles on the truck. Hopefully it stays like this. We will see.

Very nice. What are the specs on your truck?

I did a 5 hour drive yesterday with the majority of the driving on 75mph highways/interstate and rolled up to my house at a 18.5mpg average. That's a lot better than with my old 285/65/18s.
Haven't hand calculated it but It will only go up from there with a hand calculation.

Running 275/70/18 BFG KO2s and a 2" level.

My best at 60 miles one way to work is 24.9MPG on the 31 mile avg. Mostly at 60MPH. Take off has a lot to do with mileage conservation as well. with only 800 miles on the truck, i haven't planted it yet.

It's still stock. 14 Double Cab with 5.3 2wd. No lift.

I stopped paying attention. Much better than my 2005. This truck excels on the highway on cruise control. City is another story, especially the way I drive and with my duals.......

My 2014 Sierra 1500 crew cab with a 5.3 liter has had horrible fuel mileage since I first received it on and took ownership of it I've been hovering around 13 and a half miles per gallon. Doesn't matter if I'm highway or city if its city it's a little bit worse and those are my manual calculations. I have very sluggish acceleration my transmission is all over the place doesn't know what gear to pick right now it's at the dealership to try to fix it all and I have a 2015 Silverado with the same engine and configuration and I have no throttle delay I have all the power there unlike my truck

This trip was all highway

That is how mine looks right now too. Last two trips to Atlanta from Tuscaloosa I have averaged 13.4mpg. Before the winter blend of gas I was getting about 15.5-16.5mpg. But this is also with the 6.2L, 6" lift, 35's and 3.42 gears. Once gears are released later this year this should hopefully jump up.

Averaged 19.7 mpg hand calculated on the drive from Ft. Lauderdale to Greenville, Alabama. A little lower on the drive back. I can't complain, since cruise was at 70-75ish all the way.

DIC indicated around 21 mpg.

My 2015 LTZ CC 4x4 6.2L gets better mileage than my previous 2008 LS CC 5.3L in all aspects; town, hyway, towing, you name it. As others have commented there's a big improvement when road tripping on the interstate whether towing or not towing. I'm guessing a big contributor in mpg improvement has to do with going from a 4 spd tranny to an 8 speed tranny. And, the 6.2 having enough hp and torque to lope along at interstate sped (in Texas that means somewhere between 75 ~ 80 mph, ok 85 mph, lol).

"Hi everyone! I'm new to the forum"

Uhh, new to the forum? With 1,177 posts? But, it's a good post nevertheless and getting some interesting discussion. Just wonder though why you feel it necessary to characterize yourself as new to the forum. Just curious :)

"I know a lot has been said that DIC fuel mileage systems are not accurate, but this software tends to tell a different story"

I had it on my 2005, 2008 Silverados, and now my 2015 LTZ. I've found them to be fairly accurate as long as I'm consistent in the way I cap off when filling up.
