Will 275/70/17 fit on my 2016 with a 1.5 level and the stock 17 inch aluminum rims? Still might buy some 18 inch take offs but for now I will be running the 17's

These tires would probably fit without a level.

Thanks, truck looks good, I think I am going to stay with 275/70/17's for mileage and I also have a plow and do not want any rubbing issues when I am carrying the plow

Yes. That will fit stock. These are 285/70-17 on a stock offset wheel with 1.5" lift.

 

This is an ideal combination of lift and tire size in my opinion! Nice truck!

With the stock offset how close to rubbing are you with the 1.5 level? I love the look of that size and wonder with timbrens upfront if I could run my plow with that size and not rub

Haven't had them on long enough to notice as they're just temporary and a possible winter setup, but I have zero doubt it would be an issue, plenty of room.

 

Had those on my stock height '11 All Terrain with no rub. Actual specs are 17x8.5, +25.

Just installed the Readylift 2.25" level and I'm curious what the largest tire I can run is on my stock 18" wheels?

So I put a rough country 2.5" on my 2016 AT up front, nothing in the back. I also have 295/60/20 on stock wheels. I was looking at the angle of my control arms at the end and it seems pretty steep. I was wondering yalls opinion? Would new control arms fix this or what? What are the long term consequences of this?

Rest in peace control arms. Should of just put a lift. By the time you go back in and add aftermarket control arms you'll spend just as much as a lift.

So what are you saying I should do? Will new control arms fix this? I was under the impression that the aftermarket UCAs were made for lifts and had different angles for the ball joints etc.

Search for the Cognito UCAs on the interwebs. These address the exact Issue you are describing. It's only a matter of time before your ball joints wear out, depending on the abuse obviously. Cognitos are ideal for those of us who only want to level.

I only have 1000 miles on this setup and the truck itself. Is this something I should go ahead and get now or wait for these ball joints to wear out? I'm worried by waiting, I could cause some other problems to my truck?

How many miles are you guys going before replacing ball joints with just a level up front? I have the 2 inch RC front level only.

Here is where I get confused. I had a 2010 gmc sierra and I got it with 64k miles. I put a leveling kit as soon as I got it and I really put the word mudding to use and sold the truck at 112k miles and never ran into the ball joints issue

This is a great picture. I was under the impression that a level up to 2.5 inches was safe. Your picture shows a very unnatural angle from your UCLA to your knuckle. This is what you would expect it to look like while your wheel is falling into a deep pothole! I would like to see before and after pictures of various level/lift modifications. Would a 1.5 inch look "more natural" and a 3 inch look worse?

    • I agree, simplicity and reliability matter more as vehicles get more complicated. A V8 work truck option with fewer electronic features and a stronger warranty would definitely appeal to a lot of buyers who use their trucks for real work. Customizing it with trusted outfitters is often the best way to get exactly what you need
    • I’ve heard similar complaints from newer vehicles where the factory “premium” systems don’t always live up to expectations. A good installer should be able to improve the sound without turning it into a bass-heavy setup. I’d look into upgrading the front speakers, adding a quality DSP amplifier, and possibly improving sound deadening first—those changes usually make a much bigger difference than just adding a subwoofer. Hopefully someone local can recommend a reputable installer in the Las Vegas/St. George area.
    • Do you remember that Harley Davidson was more successful (solvent) when it produced about 60% of the market demand (by design) and forced wait times of up to three years? Even when your turn came around it was, "Take what we are giving you or move to the back of the line and start over". HUGE markup's were 'normalized' and dealer killed. 40% markup and no floor plan? What's not to love? Greed will kill them yet. They have surplus production and customer base is tanking. And still they think nosebleed pricing will work.  
    • The engine was done as part of the 6.2 recall?   You'd have to see if your VIN also has the 6.2 engine special coverage on it.  Coverage number is N252494003.  If you have this, your engine is covered under this and NOT the GM replacement part engine warranty which is 3yr/100k from the date of install.  The 3yr/100k mi warranty is in effect for non warranty purchases.     This is not any different if it was replaced under warranty without a recall or special coverage.  So if you had a 5.3 and it popped at 3 years in at 50,000mi during the 5yr/60k powertrain, the replacement engine would not get the 3yr/100k, and instead gets the remainder of the 5yr/60k as coverage.     So N252494003 gives 10 years or 150,000mi of coverage, which ever comes first, starting at the vehicle in service date.  So if your in service date is 01/01/2022, N252494003 gives you special coverage of the engine until 01/01/2032 or 150,000mi, whichever comes first.  So if your start date was 01/01/2022, you'd have left 5 years and 4 months (lets round to august 1st), or 62,000mi left of coverage.   So you need to know your in service date to know how much coverage is left.  
    • Okiee dokie there bud, way to take things to the extreme.   I guess you missed the whole point and take things way to serious. I installed different EV6 style injectors that just so happen to be larger in my car running the same LQ4 engine and with a better spray pattern than the stock style injectors and I noticed no difference in the idle quality. Kinda was my round about way of saying that even if you put the same size but better style injectors in your truck, you will likely see the same thing.    I'm sure you're great to have conversations with in person if that's how you act through a keyboard. One little things sets you off and now I guess my dick is all up in your face.
