Question for all you 2.5 RC enthusiasts. What are your thoughts on doing the the front 2.5 setup and putting the universal 5 inch blocks in the rear instead on the supplied 2 inch blocks?

 

Currently I have a 3" rake going on and figure it would only take .5" out of my rake but give me 4" in the back and 2.5" in the front.

 

Also curious going up to a 5" block with that kit and the u bolts wont work so what length u bolts I would have to go with?

 

Thoughts?

5 inch block would look ridiculous with a 2.5 level up front. I would go 3 inch block max and it still would be a lot of rake. The 2 inch block would look best imo

Does anyone know if the rear end spacers are safe if you're towing at near capacity?

I got rough country Leveling kits installed at my local shop but they don't have the alignment specs for the 2016 Silverado. They are just going to use the 2015.is it the same? How did you guys get ur 2016 aligned? Thanks

I did 2015 specs as the truck hasnt changed

Ok been following this section for a while and would like to know about having the magnetic ride shock sensors recalabrated.

I have a 2015 Denali 1500 4x4. The Dealer put on a Suspension Maxx 2 1/2" level up front and a 2"Block in the back about 6 mo. ago.

My truck looks great but rides like a lumber wagon (Very Stiff) , so I ask them about recalabrating the sensors. As I have read about it here.

They said never heard of it and it was not needed? So my question is who can check this for correct position besides a dealer that is clueless?

My understanding is this is computer related for a software update correct? I also need to note that I am also running a 10 ply tire so I know there will be some stiffness but didn't expect it to be that bad.

Any help?

Anyone have any experience with the Eibach leveling shocks? I have been in the market for new front suspension and was planning to wait for the 6112 Bilsteins to come out, but stumbled upon these. Most of the reviews are people who have them on Toyota Tacomas.

Also, if I already have a front leveling kit can I just throw these on, or do I have to remove the level kit?

45 psi is what they are currently. I believe 80 is max pressure and ya that is wayyy to much. What did you drop yours to? Do you have any experience with a level and magnetic ride shocks?

Looking to level my 2014 CC Sierra all terrain. Definitely gonna go with a bottom strut spacer and was leaning towards a 2" from motofab. I saw that motofab actually offers a 2.5" bottom strut spacer kit. I haven't been able to find any information from anyone who has one, as most with a 2.5 have a combination top/bottom. This makes me concerned that maybe 2.5" is too much to put only on the bottom of the strut. Can anyone offer any insight on this??

I have a 2.5" level kit and I just put on 20x10 -19 offset Fuel Hostile and Atturo Trail Blade XT 275/55R20 XL (31.9x10.8x20) not the largest tire, but everything fits without rubbing. No trimming needed. If I went with 33's it definitely would be rubbed, but in the future I probably will go with 33's to fill the gap between wheel and fender.

is there any way to get another little bit of lift on truck. i currently have a 2.5 inch level kit on truck all is good with it . but would like to maybe go 1/2 to 1 inch more anyway simple way to do this . im always an inch short lol

There is but it'll end up looking like post #2974 on this page http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/161228-post-your-2014-wheeltire-set-up/page-199

And your suspension parts will be all sorts of messed up and wear out prematurely.

 

If you wanted to do it the right way, you're going to have to either:

ditch the leveling kit and get a 3" or larger lift kit with drop spindles, etc.

OR

at bare minimum get new UCAs for a 3-inch level.

What about a body lift? I have no experience with them, but they look like reasonable solution to a little more height.
