Does GM correct issues during production ?

Question.. does anyone know if GM corrects issues during production as they discover them?

Example - seems the rear power window is an issue on the 2014 ... is this something they would fix on all new trucks rolling out after they find the fix to the issue?

They did on the air bag recall. I would imagine they'll find a fix and put out a TSB for existing ones.

Obviously not.

The rear power window was a problem on the 07-13 model already.

Of course issues get addressed. That is why when you read a recall announcement they often cite a certain time period because after that they are using a revised part/programming/etc.

So they still haven't figured out how to fix the rear window, yet?

Good question, did they ever fix the issue on the older trucks?

I've heard of it on the 2014s but honestly I can't remember this place ever exactly being peppered with people complaining of rear window failures.

Yes, if a problem is discovered (i.e. recall) adjustments are made in production.

There is a bulletin on this. See post #2.

But the problem still seems to exist.

You mean like the steering shaft clunk that was spread across multiple years or the transmission hoses that would leak when it got cold, also an issue across multiple years?

Yeah, they jump right on them. :bs:
