What is everyone running their psi on these e rated tires? I have been running 40psi and was told that is low from someone on the forum. I went to Discount tire and they told me the psi was right and could run up to 80psi if towing. My question is what is the proper psi on a half ton with E rated tires not towing???? [emoji43]

I run 42-44 on my Load Range C tires. I would probably run a bit more than 40 in Load Range E. Just because a Load Range E tire can be inflated to 80 psi, doesn't mean 40 psi has the same capacity as 40 psi in a Load Range C or even a P tire. There was a chart somewhere I am trying to find that showed different load ranges and their capacity at certain inflation pressures. It wasn't exact as this but say a Load Range E tire has a capacity of 3000lbs inflating it to only 40 psi made it's capacity only 1500 lbs where as a P tire might have 2200 lbs at 40 psi and that's it.

40psi should be fine considering that these trucks only come with D/8 ply tires. For comparison sakes on my 2004 Doge Cummins Crew Cab Long Bed I ran my E-Rated MT's at 65/68psi

Thanks guys, I was told to run no lower than 60 or I'll get bad wear. So far 7500 in they look ok but then again 7500 is nothing especially when you rotate every 3000

Been wondering the same thing. Discount also inflated mine to 40 psi but the fronts almost look a little low. I have read where a couple guys are running around 55 in the front and 50 in the rear. I'm going to play around with it the coming weeks and see how the ride is affected.

While they don't have your specific tire size listed it is pretty easy to conclude that at 40psi the tires load capabilities match that of 8 ply tires.

how is the ride with the half ton and hd tires?

to be honest the ride is great. The only thing is the tires are meaty so as your start to accelerate from a stop like you get that roughness. But the ride is plush and smooth. My brother has a 2500 Chevy diesel and when I ride in his with the same timers it's a tank. The suspension is stiff and you feel everything. My truck however kept the factory ride.

I have always had all black. So I decided to switch it up and try the Iridium, pretty happy the way it turned out. My biggest complaint about these new trucks, is the damn paint is ridiculously thin!

Which lift mods do you have? I like that it's lift but not leaning backwards like almost everyone else's lol.
