Not a trick but today my truck let me know "Ice Possible - Drive Safely" on start up... wasn't aware of that feature.

**I'm in south Louisiana where it rarely gets to freezing**

Our 2013 ambulance said that this morning

I couple of things I didn't know...

1. When you start the truck.. you only need to bump the key once. No need to keep the key turned while the truck is cranking.... the truck will keep turning over on it's own until it starts. Apparently this is also the case with the older 2007-2013 trucks as well. That is how I found out.. watched a buddy with a 2008 start up the other day a few times.. he would just bump the key. I was also used to turning the key until it starts.. like with older cars,etc..

2. The auto door locks we all hate and have no control over.... I noticed today while backing up in my garage... I went to open the door while backing up and of course it was locked. So instead of hitting the unlock button like I normally do, for some reason I pull the door handle open for the SECOND time and the door would OPEN while I backing up. So you basically just need to pull the handle open twice and it overrides the auto lock thing.... at least at low speed. Not sure what happens at higher speeds.

My 2003 Yukon started the same way. Just turn the key for a second and let the computer do the rest.

if you want the heat to run on auto but without the A/C on hit "Auto" then press the A/C button. You can change the temp up or down and the FAN will remain on auto.

Works for the winter time when running the A/C when trying to get it to blow 75-80 degrees isnt need.

I see WAY TOO MUCH of that message!

Me to. If I never see that message again I'd be happy.... Thinking of moving to NC, SC, or FL.

I recently discovered that the visors slide on a bar to extend the visor. I'm sure this is on lots of vehicles out there, but I was delighted to discover it on a sunny morning. I then discovered it in the manual too.

If you have Nav and want to save a destination address, after you input the address you save it to one of your favorite buttons.

My wife hated the visors till she figured out it extended. Then she was happy.

Don't move to NC. We just got a crap ton of ice and snow during that last storm. I'm from MN, but the people here have no idea what to do in the white stuff. The whole city was shut down for three days.

If it's raining out and the windshield wipers are on then the front headlights will turn on automatically. Probably didn't explain that right but here it is from the manual.

Lights On with Wipers
If the windshield wipers are
activated in daylight with the engine
on, and the exterior lamp control is
in AUTO, the headlamps, parking
lamps, and other exterior lamps
come on. The transition time for the
lamps coming on varies based on
wiper speed. When the wipers are
not operating, these lamps turn off.
Move the exterior lamp control to P
or;to disable this feature.
