Interesting I will try that in the morning. My AC button is always lit up in auto and thought that I might get better gas mileage without running the compressor but was not sure how to keep the heat auto feature engaged and turn the AC off.

I think you can press the Auto button & then the A/C button to turn it off. But, the only time I tried that, the heat fluctuated a lot. I've always just left all my vehicles on Auto & that seems to work best. It probably has to do with humidity control too.

Well, discovered something today by accident..... the truck was off and key was not in the ignition. I was sitting there waiting (after already opening the drivers door and getting out), decided I would hit the radio button as I thought it would show me the time. To my surprise, the radio came on! This is without a key in the ignition. After the 10 minute RAP, it turned off. Generally, you have to turn the key to asscessory. I have a 2014 GMC. Anyone know this?

I will have to try that, on my 2009 everything went dead once you opened the door except for the clock if you pushed the button. Does Nav and everything work?

I don't know about nav. I just checked the radio. Normally, when you open the door, the radio goes dead. Always before, had to turn the key to accesory to listen to the radio. Pretty cool feature!

If you have Nav and want to save a destination address, after you input the address you save it to one of your favorite buttons.

That's a great find

Figured that out sitting in parking lot waiting for wife the other day. Kind of handy, although 10 minutes is never enough when she's shopping.

I found this out while I was still at the dealer buying the truck haha. It's a great option to have. My 06 audi a4 does it to and stays on for 20 min so it's really nothing to new.. But still nice to have on our new trucks.

Yeah not a real good solution. I tried it today and heat does not work well, it looks like it needs to be left in auto and let it do whatever it does.

Not a trick but today my truck let me know "Ice Possible - Drive Safely" on start up... wasn't aware of that feature.

**I'm in south Louisiana where it rarely gets to freezing**

Agreed it is very disgusting since I cannot wash my baby since it is so cold.

I have to go back and figure out how I set up these silly weather alerts now!!!!! they keep popping up and informing me of impending weather watches and warnings jeez louise enough already. Too many electronic gizmos

Supposed to warm up a tiny bit next week. I think we've had like one or two days above freezing all year.

I've had my AC off and auto works fine as long as I don't hit the defrost button. When it is on defrost blowers only the temp setting seems to be ignored and it gets really hot. Otherwise a setting of 70 keeps it perfect.
