Thanks for Posting my vid mike. It sounds awesome. My gas Milage has dropped since. But just cause I'm constantly revving my engine everywhere I go. Haha.

Cheap, easy, free flowing and loud. Perfect

No problem. I meant to ask. How's V4 with that set up?

Also was the video taken with the windows rolled up?

I can for sure hear the difference in sound when in V4 mode.

The only window down was the drivers but the pipe is passenger rear facing outward, so it wasn't makijg a huge difference. It's pretty loud all the time. Haha

Here's another video from Airwelldone! Here's a start up and close up of the y pipe wide open on his truck

And here's the previous video I uploaded. However I created a YouTube account so I can post better quality videos

I had a muffler shop remove the stock muffler/flapper/resinator and install a 14" magnaflow yesterday. So far I like it.

Yup... same exact setup here. Sounds great!

Any of you try this one? Dynomax VT no drone muffler.

I considered that one until my exhaust shop said they get a lot of them back for rattling after a while.

Yep looking at the cut away of that muffler that could happen. Think I'll try the Tru-x crossover pipe on duals that a guy had posted on here said that worked for the drone. MagnaFlow makes one that looks good.

So I finally decided what to try out for my exhaust. I went with the magna flow 14in, 3in offset. Inspired by the gm borla, I had them incorporate the exhaust adaptive valve along with a bypass. I have only had it a few days, want to get a feel for it before stating an opinion. After a while, so I can check on gas mileage, I will clamp the valve open for a bit to see how it affects the sound. I got lucky in that the shop had a 3in valve off a 6.2 they gave me.

As stated before, headphones give the best sound.

Thats pretty neat. I do believe you are the first to go with an aftermarket muffler, and incorporate the adaptive valve & bypass pipe into it. I will be very interested in your review.

I have the GM Borla system, and about the only difference I see is that the GM Borla system has the adaptive valve in the headpipe, in front of the muffler. You have kept yours in the "Stock" position, directly behind the muffler outlet. I'm looking forward to your findings.

Did I understand russ9443 correctly, that "exhaust adaptive valve along with a bypass" is how the GM performance exhaust is designed?

Yes. But as someone pointed out mine has the valve downstream of the muffler rather than upstream. My exhaust guy felt like borla put it before just so they could offer a dual out. Dual out seems like more of an upgrade to most I'm sure:).

I'm thinking I will clamp it open if I get more sound, then for trips leverage the valve.

OK, Thanks for the reply. I have not seen the system you speak of but knowing my truck when I put on my Borla muffler, the flapper valve was after the muffler also. I am curious as to why they designed their system that way...
