So with the TSP headers and a catted Y-pipe i would just need a muffler and tip and could have someone put it all on and go? Or do i need to get a resonator as well? I do want split rear but i could wait for that.

All you need is the Headers, then a Muffler. Tip is optional, but I do like the look. Just get the OEM Chrome tip, it looks good in my opinion and you can get one ebay for a decent price. Your stock exhaust has the resonator in place, right after the rear axle.

If you do end up splitting (dual rear), they will most likely remove your resonator. However, since you are getting catted Y pipe, you might not have as much noise and can live with it.

Hey Guys,

Need some help... Debating between the CORSA dB cat back vs the BORLA ATAK for my 5.3 '16 Sierra. I've listen to both and like the tone but if anyone has any first hand experience, i would appreciate that.

If you want to save money, go with Corsa DB. If money isn't an option, go with the ATAK. The ATAK will be louder as well. Saved you hours of reading.

Haha thank you. Other then price difference, i've read that the dB uses a lower grade steel?

I'm pretty sure that is accurate. I believe they use a lower grade stainless steel tubing then 304 stainless tips. Borla's is all 304 stainless.

Sounds good. I'm leaning towards the Borla but I gotta find the best deal lol.

If you do find a good deal, post it up. Usually they don't budge much from right under a grand. If you find lower $900 or below, let us all know.

They also don't offer a life time warranty on the Db, but the sound is the same as their premium exhaust, least that was the response i got when asking on their youtube channel. Which in my honest opinion they're all overpriced. When you look at what you can piece together an exhaust system for through buying the muffler, pipe, and tips. Kind of makes you wonder how they're selling them for 1000$ a pop. 600$ is about where it should be truthfully. Of course Corsa doesn't sell muffler's which is a pretty decent marketing strategy if someone wants their sound. However i wish they did..

Beware! With after market exhaust you can hear the V4 mode kick in and its annoying as hell. I deactivated AFM with a Hypertech tuner after installing a magnaflow and pipe cut off just above axle so you cant even see the tail pipe.. If you don't want the full tuner go with Range technologies AFM disabler $189 @ Autoanything.com.

I'm going with BB but i plan on disabling AFM completely i think it's pretty useless as is anyway.

what headers with the catted Y pipes do everyone recommend? Going on a 2014 sierra 1500 6.2 with corsa catback.

All depends on your budget and standards.

Kooks, Stainless Works, ARH are your best quality but come at a cost premium.

I went with Texas Speed. Less than half the cost of the above, and the quality is good. Had a few little fitment issues, but they were easy to resolve. I have seen similar issues with Kooks and ARH, but have no first hand experience.

I like that Kooks and ARH have non slip connection pieces for the LT to the Y. I don't have leaks, but I like knowing that when you bolt something you have it in the right spot. With slip connection, you have margin for error.

Is there a catback system that is the similar to borla touring without the 1k price tag? I was looking at the mbrp, but heard it's loud...also looking at the corsa db, but haven't heard any reviews and don't know much about it. I'm wanting something along the lines of borla/corsa touring catback, just hate the price.lol..

ok thanks. Did you do the install yourself or have it done at a shop? Also how much louder did it make your truck? I'm not worried about the noise except at 6 AM haha, already pissed off a few neighbors with my corsa catback.
