I replaced the bolt I dropped pulling my HMI for programming. I installed the AMP pass-thru harness, so now I can have my steps and my port. I started wrapping my trim pieces also. Got three of the doors done and just need to wrap the last one. I know how the center part around the LCD comes out, but I'm not sure how the center console pieces or the outer ones around the vents come off. I sure would like some help with those. I hate pulling on things not knowing for sure how they come apart. I didn't like how the black I did first had no contrast, so I switched it out. The stock silver was okay, but the doors and console were not plain. They had a pattern on it I couldn't stand.

How did you get the door pieces off? I got the LCD surround off pretty easily, but when i started on the door pieces i didn't have any luck. I was using a trim removal tool and got to a point i felt i was going to break it before anything loosened or popped.

Your sorcery tint...? Still going that route?

No. I'm giving up on that route. I'm just gonna put on regular tint for now and maybe a few years down the line and maybe on my next truck or the one after that, I'll have that "sorcery tint" haha

The front door pieces pull off from the bottom and are tabbed in at the top. My driver door was a breeze, but passenger door only one of the four clips came out of the door. I had to get them out of the door and put them back onto the trim. The rear doors have three larger clips and it the complete pieces pulls straight out, it has no tabs going under like the front. I'll try to add some pictures in a bit.

Actually the cnc grid is pretty sharp and has excellent grip...unless your wearing a shoe made of metal.

That works. I tried an all metal set in an old car. Thought they were great until I got in one night in the rain and couldn't get the clutch down. Had to strip off my shoes to get home.

Here is a series of pictures at night trying to show there is no lose from the air blue on the windshield. It might not be perfect way to show it, but it's all I could think of since video is way more picky about light.

Thanks Crf450r420! That helps! By chance did you mess with the trim around the far left and right AC vents. Im in the same boat with those. I can get trim tool in there but get too nervous its going to break before anything releases.

It's the honeycomb grille. If it's close, I may be able to Dremel some material off the light housing or the grille to make it fit snug.

How did the grille lights go? Did they fit?

How did the grille lights go? Did they fit?

Been on vacation the past week. Sorry for the no update.

They're close, but no cigar.

Any ideas on getting them to fit?

Shaving the corners might work because it looks like there's a solid plastic piece inside the light that might still keep it sealed tight.

If I do get them to fit, then how should I attach them to the grill and be solid enough to take a grasshopper or Junebug at 80mph?

I'd fab some brackets... either mount them to the frame above or run it as a long piece side to side... not sure you could just wedge them and have them stay with vibration, wind and bugs.

Since there are holes you could take a strong piece of plastic behind the grille and screw them into it. Use it like a clamp. If you cant find that a piece of sheet metal or aluminum, but that might be overkill

I have an idea.

But I think it might look like shit.

Is there a way to bemd a small strip of aluminum into a c shape and hold over the back of the light to the back of the grille with a couple small screws?

That might work. I really have no idea what I'm going to do. I want them behind the grill like thag second pic but I can't figure out how to make it work. This may not work out.
