Put a steering wheel cover on cause at 25k the steering wheel leather was already starting to show signs of wear. Figured it would help with resale value or trade in value down the road lol77834900662d22ba8223dc939ce3a1c9.jpg

Thanks for sharing your experience I was hoping someone would post as far when it would go out I guess the leather ain't pure leather either the steering wheel cover ain't my cup of tea but I understand y u did it guess i better start looking into a cover myself..

I like having a thicker grip but these new steering wheels are already pretty big so with the cover it just feels a little too bulky but I'll get used to it. The steering wheel wasn't in terrible condition but you could see where my hands were so just wanna make it last as long ass possible!

Oh wow! How much did that cost?!? Do you have to strap her in or does hold on or what. Either way my wife would kill me if I got a bed liner like that. ?

 

Came shortly after bringing my truck home from the dealer. As for how much it cost, just $75 for the matching colors, black and red. Here's a closer look. Easy on and off. ?

Well congratulations.

Did they fix your seat issue from dealer ??check for black handprints cringe when I see them do that

Taking it Tuesday to have them do some work to it. Fix the seat and their door ding and the vibration. Other than transmissions in my 02 I've had more small issues out of this k2 than that thing and I crossed 368k on friday in the 02

Installed a 30" bar today off eBay, $75, Wireless wiring harness from Arsenal Offroad, Amazon $25. Install was fairly straightforward. Bar fits in pretty snug. I'll put some night shots up in a couple hours. e58c7a0b5095b47f23e10f88d2e22fdb.jpg

Nice new owner of my Colorado 05 just passed 250k miles with 0 issues them i5s came out good ,fuel economy not so great but they are a beast

I'm wondering if it really is that cheap. I've got a Volkswagen and the entire steering wheel turned almost white from gray. We bought the car used with 9k miles and I think the previous owner/dealer put some krap on the wheel. I got looking in the forums to see what other people had done. The replys people put said they took it in under warranty and the dealership replaced the entire wheel since it was failing. I was just about to do this as well but wanted to cover my ass and be able to tell them "that I use the approved cleaning solution, I don't know what happened". On VWs website they recommend 3M Leather and vinyl restorer, so I got some off Amazon. I started spraying and cleaning with a basic lint free rag and couldn't believe it when all, and I mean all, of this white krap came off. It looked just like the leather was sun faded and old to begin with. After it was perfectly gray and new looking again. The wheel has been great ever since. I went ahead and used it in my truck too since I had it. Doesn't leave any greasy film behind or bad shine. Looks great too.

 

Mainly, I'd say give some a try, maybe it's just gum or dirt built up. If not, this should be something that falls under manufactureres defect, and the dealer should replace this. Screw a wheel cover this early in the game IMO.

No pics but I always have dirty hands and they are pretty rough so I'm sure that doesn't help. I'm sure the restorer would definitely help cause you can see where my hands stay (darker in those areas) and where it slides while I'm coming out of a turn and let it drag my hands. I may just be a little too anal about it lol

I try to keep my hands clean as possible and use not lotion or cream and rotate my hands on the wheel I also tend not to slides hand on turn since we all now that plays a huge role in wear and tear but if gm is warranty covers it have fun spinning ur wheels

Installed 50" light bar this weekend. I used the RC upper windshield mounts that actually get riveted inside the door. I would NOT recommend these mounts to anyone. They cause the door to not shut all the way and the once 'quietest cab' is no longer. I've tried putting 1/2 tubing inside the weather striping as recommend in the forums, but it didn't solve the issue. I have ordered a set of Putco roof mounts ($44) and hoping they can work this this light bar. If not, I will have to go with N FAB and spend about $150 plus install.

      You could try a used 1, they used that engine in the Astro vans, Plenty of them in the boneyard. Look for a wrecked or rotted 1 so the chance that it was scrapped for that reason and not a mechanical issue will be greater

      2018 Silverado Console USB Port Not Working

      My centre console USB ports haven’t been working and the one in the glovebox is starting to act up. When I plug my phone into the cord the radio will go black and stop playing, and the CarPlay is inconsistent.   I checked the fuses and they were fine. I changed the USB port out and still nothing. Hoping for some advice on what I should be looking at.

      The truck is a 1995 Chevrolet S10 Blazer, 4.3 VIN "W" engine. :cracks knuckles:   On a whim - because I needed a headache - this truck was for sale so I stopped to take a look. Doesn't run. Well, it does, but barely. Long crank, choppy idle, bad misfire(s), it REEKS of fuel. I can DO this..I'm thinking. Diamond in the rough. One owner until last year. A young guy is selling it, he bought it 6 months ago. It stranded him more than once, he's got a newborn. It was in the shop 10 days ago and he "thinks" they said it needs a new fuel injection system. He can't put any more money into it, needs it gone. I was thinking of upgrading my Macbook, which is a total want, not a need. For less than the price of a new laptop I can have fun for months tinkering on this truck and enjoying it. I'm taking this truck home. The guy was beyond thrilled, his wife was there, she thanked me profusely, I could tell they were hurting. They seemed like good people in a bind.   Some parts, a wash, maybe a set of tires, and I can have a few months of fun and then turn it for beer money (or the next project).   Sure enough, there's a work order from a shop last week in the INCHES of paperwork on this truck dating back to when the first owner bought it. They put a new distributor in it, fuel injection work describes basically opening the plenum and putting it back together. He said he couldn't afford any more work so he had them button it up and that's when he put it up for sale.   I'm not well versed in 4.3. I did discover 1995 uses the 1992-1995 SCPI "Spider" injector which is riddled with issues from splitting lines, clogged or cracked poppet valves and plastic spider legs that crumble over time. Cool. I'll just order me a ne---. Oh, the auto parts store doesn't have it? Rock Auto doesn't have it. eBay? $$$$$$ for used. These are UNAVAILABLE period end of story unless you know "a guy" who's still got one in a box somewhere.   Can't upgrade to the '96-'04 injector, it's a different plenum, wiring/pinout and sensor config.   There are a few kinda "know a guy" -guy rebuild services for these injectors out there for about $350. Okay, Okay... I'd like to know if anyone has used them? Anyone got a lead on these crappy 92-95 spiders?   I also don't want to send MY spider to Narnia and back without knowing if that's truly the problem. I guess I'll need to pull apart the plenum and do some digging.   I was also thrown for a loop. This 1995 model year truck has an OBD-II connector. The interface is decidedly not OBD-II. I can read and reset trouble codes and view live data, but there's not a lot of data. Like misfire count and on what cylinder, that's not there. It's OBD-1.5.   Nothing is ever easy. Now it makes sense why this guy wanted to disappear this thing for cheap. I'm guessing the shop told him the injector is toast, the part is unobtainable and they're not going to sort sending the thing to a rando offering rebuild service on craigslist, and the kid likely can't be without a working car for 3 weeks even if they'd facilitate that.   Experience with these early SCPI's? Stories? Things to check? Sympathy? (..Nah...)   This can sit until I sort it. But I haven't had a problem with a vehicle I couldn't easily solve in a long time.
