I guess this counts as something I did to my K2 today...

I just negotiated a deal on a 2016 crew cab LTZ midnight edition. I will be trading in my 2015 crew cab summit white 2lz.

The 2016 is currently in transit and should be at the dealer by the end of the month! Pics to follow...

Good choice! The midnight editions are some of the best looking factory produced trucks.

De-badged my 15 SLT. I'm so happy with the results. Used 50lb braid, which made it a breeze to 'cut' them away. I used my fingers to pull the remaining 3M off. I then used 3M adhesive remover (this stuff is worth your time and money) to clean up the residual. Once all of that was cleaned up, I washed the affected areas and waxed away the fine lines that remained. Looks like they were never there.

how do you like them? How did the install go??

Install was pretty much straight forward but that was after I didn't receive all of the brackets with my order.... Box came looking like it had been opened and returned. I ordered from SDTRUCKSPRINGS.

I had the i1000 tuner but it kept giving me issues, wondering if the i2 would give me less issues? Let us know how you like it!

So far I like it a lot. I had issues with connecting to laptop for first time for updates but I swapped cords and all is good.

Added LED's to the bumper step.

Told you your post was going to motivate me

I installed some 10mm threaded bayonet jobs.

I placed them on the back plate vs the top of the step since I wanted it to shoot some light off to the sides as well as hit the edge of the step.

(We load equipment in the dark after gigs and am in the habit of setting stuff off to the side as I organize the bed, this way anything I put out there will be lit.)

No need to remove the bumper, but place something between the bumper and bed as you drill as the bit may catch on the soft plastic and pull in quickly.

The barrel light just screws in and after placing the backing nut you can tighten with appropriate open ended wrench.

Dabs of silicone applied with a stick will keep the nut from backing out.

Lights are wired to work off the cargo switch along with bed lights.

Cleaned the interior since I've neglected it since about mid November, now I realize I shouldn't have done that cause it took 2.5 hours to get it perfect. Got a lot of stuff planned for this weekend, hopefully I can finish it all up and post it up!
