Had a gear swap done today went from 3.42's to 4.10's. Happy with the feel so far, but still awaiting on tune update, and trying to take it easy on break-in

are the new gears Yukons? I'm interested in doing this when I lift my truck. Also, is this something the dealer can flash into the onboard computer or do we have to go aftermarket tuning only? thx

AAM. I believe the only way to update the computer is aftermarket as 4.10's are not a factory option on the 1500's.

Added my step bar leds today. Tied them I to the dome lights so they come on anytime the dome lights are one. Works great with the key fob unlock and such.

That is definitely a cool mod.

When I added my hid's I had to shut the exterior lights off so I would not burn out the ballasts with the on off cycling of them. So figured after reading others on adding footwell lighting and assist lighting. Figured it would be the perfect mod for adding light while in dark parking lots and such. Works great and for like $70 bucks and an hour in my garage. They turned out great and put out tons of light.

I cannot take credit for figure this mod out. There are several members who have done similar mods and I used the great info that they provided. Here is a link to where I got some of info to complete.

I cannot remember the brand. My brother found some on ebay. They were a set of two 5 ft long strip of led lights with a rubberized coating. 3m tapes to hold under the rockers. I can get a closer shot of them if you need me to. We ran the wires through the rubber grommet on the drivers side that the e brake cable goes through. And on the passenger side there is a plastic plug we drilled a small hole in then used silicone to ensure the hole was fully sealed. Snaked the wires under the carpet and behind the dash to the wiring harness that controls the dome lights.

Sorry that happened. Did you shear the bumper? Surprised it would break off like that.

Edit...I see now that the bumper bent and the cover lifted making it look broken off.
