Improves off the line performance, capable of towing more, correct your tow rating for larger tires, there are lots of reasons a gear swap is awesome. Necessary? Nope. Make the truck drive a lot better and closer to stock with larger tires and wheels? You betcha!

Didn't really do anything new to it, but went to the track last night to run it,

 

Left it in 2wd and ran a 15.1@92MPH... Was hoping to get into the 14's but it was pretty hot out and the tires did spin a bit off the line. Next time I will be sure to launch it in 4WD lol

 

Not to bad for 5680lbs though lol

 

I had much better times with launching in 4x4 and immediately shifting into 2x4 before the 1-2 shift.

Shifting to 2 wheels where 4 are driven is pretty remarkable haha.

 

Or I guess shifting into a piece of lumber, couldn't resist!
