Friday - installed GM tow mirrors. Saturday- washed and clayed.

Sunday - polished, Mckee's 37 ceramic coating, and applied Rhino Shine to the bed liner on the bumpers and tailgate. If you look at the last picture you can see what a difference the Rhino Shine makes, the tailgate is done and the bed hasn't been done yet. 34d48ba8db4d7568830cecf050f15ca2.jpg3a24e7853a943dd6b3a6f52cb225c1cf.jpg5400daf810f161e819d4d76e1286ef96.jpg6b911dd758de8c8f0edc8a0bb18f24cb.jpg

nice! I actually use that same coating. It's really good. Truck looks great. That rhino shine is cool I need that for my line X'd bed it's dull from dried mud that won't wash or scrub off

Had a couple minutes today so I finished taking apart the grille and front bumper. Still need to remove the sensors from the rear bumper.

How does the afe sound? I have been looking into one. Just haven't really seen a good example of the sound it makes. Any chance you can put up a quick video?

Umm I can see if I can work on a video for you this week. To be honest the intake sounds best under load while driving. I really like the AFE a lot. Good quality and good power. Nothing insane obviously but it performs as advertised and I get compliments on my engine sound all the time from passengers. I don't have an exhaust (yet) so it's all intake sound. I can tell you that you'll be happy if you buy one

Did my stepdads brakes yesterday and finished them up today. Did a 3hr detail today for my yearly customer and then decided to tackle this beast. I only did the good and fenders for now. 2 stage paint correction and a sealant.

What products are you using and what's your process? I keep my black truck parked in a garage at home and at work. I get it detailed regularly 2x per month (hand washed) and hand waxed 2-3x per year. After 2 years my paint and clear coat do not look anywhere near as good as what you've done there.

I use a lot of the Adams polish products. Washed and clawed first. I used the swirl and haze remover followed with the paint correcting polish. Topped with some black fire wet diamond paint sealant. I have the Adams paint seas t but the BF is easier to use. Doesn't take as long to cure and comes off 100x easier.

This was under my canopy. Unfortunately I don't have any sun pics since it was almost 7 when I finished.

and last night went for a little photo IMG_26621_zpsu4u7nolj.jpgshoot....

Looks good - I would've stripped the Silverado and just painted the z71.

Now all you need are some 16 LTZ taillights.

tail lights are in the plans... but likely recon ones

i did have the '71' dipped as well. while removing the excess dip i got a little ahead of myself and as a result the 71 is chrome. not a big deal, i can always do it again

Got her dyno'd this weekend. Making 380hp to the ground. For some reason they weren't giving torque numbers though..

Don't you have the 6.2? Is that # low or what you can expect for RWH from the 6.2...

    • So you're saying toss the baby out with the bathwater? @txab posted article was her take on how AI can be used to manipulate pricing as it already does and has been rebuked by the judiciasry in housing. How AI can be and is used to maximize refinery or even Amazon operations all of which are true but because she is who she is; that makes what she says about what is true, false? Is that something akin to Pre-justice aka prejudice?    Look, I'm first in line to approach all information with caution just because we live in a world where people like to lie about someone or something with such a straight face and in such volume that it makes digging to the truth wearisome. Meaning I understand the skepticisms but if I were to toss out everything a person is for a view they hold then my pool of people to draw wisdom from would be non-existent and I'd be forced to reinvent the wheel daily. Not practical.    "Be innocent as a dove but as cautious as a serpent."    Test each word. Every good lie is part truth or no one would believe it. Find the truth in it and reject what isn't.    On this one, AI is being used to do what has been done by hand for hundreds of years already but at such speed, the point of a computer, that it is more easily monetized. This one wasn't that hard a lift.    I wrote a few formulas in a Lotus 123 program decades ago, a series of linked Macros actually, that allowed a daily inventory to be turned into a running P&L and production plan. Something that took three departments a week to assemble now took the time it takes to input the 'daily changes' in inventory. Later that was ungraded to the more powerful Excel program an and integrated with bar code scanning, inventory to supply was done once per shift. It had a huge impact on production scheduling, Seamless interruption flexibility, inventory error reduction, raw materials cost effective utilization and scrap reduction. Huge improvement in the bottom line. I spent months on that and AI could have done it in minutes. So yes, it not only can be used, they would be foolish to not try. The legality, ethics and morality are not the domain of AI. Humans need to keep a reign on it.
    • New to this forum.  Also looking to tune a 6L80 and trying to work out all the issues in my transmission swap.  I have a 6.2 diesel (1983) and have removed the TH-400 and about to put in a 6L80 with a TCM-2600 interface and don't have a clue what I doing after that.  Did you (Leatherneck/RAV3) get your slip resolved? I too hate to spend that kind of money on a tuner that hopefully I will not need too many times although from what steelerdude15 added about the HP Tuner being great for diagnostics would be a plus.  I am also from WNC but below you in Columbus.  Any helo would be greatly appreciated.
