Yeah it does. I did 8 and sometimes wish I had stayed in for the full 20. I'd be retired already for 4 years. :) I definitely miss it sometimes though.

All washed up. Now time to dry.

I think if you blacked out all of the chrome the red accents would pop more and it would look good!

Yeah I was thinking to do the bumpers, grill and the headlight surrounds but I was wanting to do something other than black. Like maybe a dark grey or something but I can't picture how it would look.

And also do the steps in the same color to tie it all together.

I'm definitely painting the toolbox black though.

Very cool, this may not be the direction you're trying to go but you could have everything line x'd. It would add a different look other than gloss black but would tie in well. I don't know about the gray tho. I think it would defeat purpose of eliminating the chrome and cleaning up the look

Yeah I was think that for the steps for sure. Not sure about the clearance on the plastic stuff if it would all fit back together with the line x on it. That stuffs pretty thick.

I would say look at line x ultra. It's thinner but super strong and a bit glossier. But it has been done before so fitment wouldn't be an issue

What questions do you have? I line-x'd my entire 2014 Silverado 1500. It all fit back together great. Hard part was the door handles but even that was easy.

Line-x ultra is great for color matching. If you go the traditional route you need to use line-x premium so you have the gloss UV protection coating.

I think if you went darker red, more metallic than pastel it would look less toy truck more classy

Yeah, it's bright in those pictures. I do t know what it is about the red dip but it really darkens up after a few days. Here's a pic from today you can see the difference. 45fc74f47d50b26c138e7abdcfb1cb25.jpg

Installed my speakers a few days ago 8a961ada7af8497dd6797fef4894bd5e.jpg

I used a the kicker speakers, not the cheap 60 buck ones, I used the next ones up that are like 130 each. Tried the cheaper ones and they sounded like garbage.

The box was a steal at like 120. I used the kicker 1200 watt for the dual 12 in subs and some other kicker amp for the fronts and rears. I left the dash speakers stock, I think that sound ok as is.

The wiring is a hot mess but you can't see any of it behind the seat anyway.

Removing the rear seat was somewhat of a pain and I made a scratch on the door jam. Should have had someone to help me.

But installing the amps behind the seat was obviously not the best place to put them. I have the gain way to high in the rear and now I can't fix it without removing the stupid seat again. So I adjusted the fade on the radio to the front speakers but a strange side effect is that the door ding noise from having the door open or not having your seatbelt on is loud as hell!

Sorry for the terrible pics, it's getting dark.

It will shake the bolts loose if you turn it up. But I rarely have it very loud.

Lol, probably, but it doesn't wash off.. that's fine with me. I good with them getting darker over time. I like it so far and have gotten lots of compliments. Everyone I talk to aside from here says it looks great. Maybe my mid life crisis kicking im but I'm having fun with the mods!!

Not sure about the nitto trail grapplers though, killed my mpg, I'm averaging 14 now and I do a lot of highway. I got the 10 ply so that's probably not helping.

They look cool and work well in mud. Pretty terrible at everything else

Yeah, I may try the terra grapplers next but the trail grapplers get great mileage. A buddy of mine has gotten 80k out of three sets. Rotation every 3000 and a few alignments. Luckily the tire and rim shop in my area does the rotation for free for the life of the tires. And that voodoo magic works! Hard to go in there for a rotation without asking for a lift quote while you wait!!!!

So I'll see what I get out of them.

I hear the Terra's only get about 50k, but I don't know if that's with a mud tire rotation schedule or not.

But I agree with you, they do look tough as hell! Also hard to get the thing stuck anymore.

I ran the stockers down to the nub and I had to put it in 4 to get up my steep driveway if the pavement was wet, these things roll right up in the snow!
