4" lift and have to use a 0 or +12 offset?

I am having my 2014 denali lifted next week. The are using a 4" skyjacker lift kit. I picked out some fuel maverick 20" 2 piece wheels to be installed. And they will be putting on a 34" Nitto trail grappler tire.

The company installing the lift called me last night and said that those wheels will not work because they are a negative offset. And that I wold have to pick a wheel with a 0 or +12 offset.

My question is why? I would like to have a deeper lip on the wheels. They are installing fender flares as part of the kit, so why couldnt I go with a negative offset. I dont want the whole wheel to stick out the sides of the truck but to come out even with the fender flares that will be installed. Would this be because it does not fit, or because the company doing it is a GM certified upfitter, and they wont do anything that GM does not approve?

They're probably worried about the tire rubbing and playing it safe by recommending a positive offset wheel. Are you wanting 20x10 -24? If so, just run a 305/55/20 instead of 34's.

Hey I was just wondering if I get a 5'' suspension lift kit for my 2014 gmc seirra all terrain* I got 20x10 -24offset rims and 305/55/20 copper Zeon ltz tires, would I have any rubbing issues??, I have a levelling kit on it now and I tried them and I'm rubbing forward when I turn the wheel 3/4 of the way hitting my mud flap and just above in the inner fender?
