Worked in ND for 2 years and decided to move home last week. Tried to rent a Uhaul to put most of our stuff in, but they didn't have the size we needed and the bigger ones were too big for the other vehicle to haul. So, being that I am used to hauling oversized/sketchy loads everyday at work, I put everything from the house in my 32' camper and said heck with it, I'm going home. Baby stuff, our clothes, some kitchen stuff, and the baby crib/changing table, plus my generator, propane tank, and whatever else got loaded. Drove 65-75 the whole way, some parts in snow, some in wind, some in tailwind. Took about the same amount of time as it usually does to make the drive. Just ate way more fuel ha ha ha ha.

The best part is the collar rotates with detents so you can tune the light to the housing then run in a set screw to lock it in place.

Stayed in 4th and 5th, mostly 4th at about 3k the whole way. Tranny never got over 199* and never broke 210* on the coolant. I'll trade it off before my bumper to bumper 100k runs out anyway, so I wasn't worried.

Brought this home from Atlanta the other week. 2000 Discovery II with 126,000 miles and all the off roading goodies (tires/lift, skid plates, ARB front and rear lockers, center locker, winch, front/rear bumpers, camping rack and on board air). Trailer weighs 2900 and a stock Disco II is about 4500. The owner we bought it from estimated it was 6K with all the mods, but I'm thinking somewhere nearer 5K to 5500K. I'm guesstimating I was pulling near 8K when it was all said and done.

Truck did great towing it, which was a good thing considering I was being chased out of Atlanta by freezing rain. Literally by the time I got out of the city the truck's thermometer was reading 33-34 and the radio was saying that the roads I had been on 15 minutes previously were icing over and accidents were occuring........

The things we do for love. The disco is my wife's "new" daily driver and dream vehicle. LOL she calls it Firefly.

Two sleds in this modified clamshell trailer...the truck never even knew it was there, pulled like a champ! Tow mode worked well...only got about 11mpg, but whatever...they were all full of gas, gear, etc.

Our new Coachmen Freedom Express .... 35'7" bumper to hitch, dry weight about 7400. Picked it up about 2.5 hrs away and drove it at 113kmh/70mph through some big hills and heavy winds, averaged about 10MPG! Have a Blue Ox Swaypro 1500 hitch, made it a breeze to tow. Taking it out this weekend for our first trip!

awesome setup! your truck looks pretty much lever maybe just a tad bit a sag but it looks great! I want to get a TT so bad but I want a lot of other things too....
