22" Magnaflow.....

Cool. So that must be the same muffler that comes with their catback system (which I just got delivered). I was worried it might be too loud but it sounds like it'll be pretty subdued at cruise.

 

The 6.2 is louder than the 5.3, mine is quite while cruising but partial throttle it makes plenty of noise.

It's not loud at all. I have all 3 cats and no rez and it's pretty tame. I really think that because these trucks are so well insulated, it makes the exhaust note even quieter, as compared to my '13 LT truck. I'm leaning toward letting it grow on me for a while.....

Yes, flapper valve is gone.

Any drone with the valve gone? I am about to put on a Borla/GMPP muffler and trying to decide on whether to remove the flapper and resonator.

I would say that there is a VERY slight amount of drone... But... I'm a guy who likes the sound of drone. So, for me, there's not nearly enough.

can you post a video of your truck at idle inside and outside and also a in-cab video of taking off and highway please. I think I want the 22" magnaflow, I want something just a little louder than stock but I don't want it to drone on the highway to where it makes the backseat passengers not able to hear a conversation.

The Magnaflow 22" sounds awesome not to loud, to me it sounds like a 60's muscle car..V4 is a little more noticeable I'm going to get the Range if they ever get the bugs fixed. Highway driving is quiet. My little brother will be here today so with his help I'll post a video including start up, revs and in cab while cruising. If you add the 22" have them remove everything behind the muffler and have a custom 3" pipe bent to your liking, I had to use a 3" pipe behind the muffler because no one in Sioux Falls could bend 3.5" pipe. I first had the factory resonator and pipe installed w/ the 22" and it sounded stock.

yeah I have seen those videos, all they portray is what the exhaust sounds like a full throttle which im not concerned about. I wanna know what it sounds like at start up, idle, and highway speeds inside the cabin.

OK, this is the 22" Magnaflow with Resonator and Flapper delete, single side exit behind the rear wheel.

 

If you put your headphones on, it will sound exactly like it does in my truck.
