Waiting to see pics of these mounted! Please include wheel size, offset, tire make/size, and lift info (if any) when you do. This is one setup I've been wanting to do. Going to be buying them as a Christmas present to myself very soon if I like what I see! Thanks :)

Hey Iversun,

Here are a few pics. I had to have one of the wheels rebalanced and they royally scratched the shit out of the lip, so hopefully I can get it compounded out this evening. Here are some more pics in the meantime! They stick out a decent bit but I love the look. It rubs at full lock in reverse which I have to figure out the best solution to take care of that.

Wheels: 20x9 0 offset

Tires: Nitto Terra Grappler G2 305-55-20XL

Just got 20x9 gray wheels +18 offset, wrapped in 275 60r20 duratrac wranglers. Rubs mudflap pretty good in forward and reverse. This common? I read a bunch of reviews today that said they clear easy... Ordering 2.5" rough country level tmrw.10b6fde143fff3ae620a2c02301c9062.jpg5cf82cd31d8ee27eb3169b3be6a18a04.jpgdbeb70cb0a412ab3c79381fa3b5d57b8.jpg

Edit... Took out the front mud flaps and they clear by a margin of about .01 inches. Will need a level.

I ended up notching my mudflaps with a dremel tool. I only had to cut aprox 1-2" in the rear by the last mounting point where it wouldnt be seen nor affect the mudflap itself and also did the ole ziptie trick to pull the inner fender liner back a scoshe. You can see what im talking about in the above pics Edited by dbcooper748

I just replaced my P255/70/17 on my 2015 with terragrap g2 in P285/70/17. If I recalibrate speedo will it improve throttle reponse or mpg? Not sure if nowadays they also use speed to effect shifting or when V4 is enabled. At least that's what I've read a couple people said, but not sure I'd they're just blowing smoke.

I don't care if speedo is off 5%, but with 3.05 gears I've noticed truck is more sluggish. I understand the increase in diameter requires more torque to turn but I'm surprised it was that noticible.

Recalibration of the speedo is not an easy task. You will need a custom tune, as the dealer cant/or wont do it

I posted this on the general forum as well but was looking for insight into this if you all might have some:

I got my wheels and tires all mounted up, everything went perfect. Low road force etc. I ordered Hub Centric rings and went back to have them installed. For some reason one of the tires went from like 13lbs of road force to 33lbs. So they spun the tire on the rim, got it down to 23lbs. Still not great, so we might order a new tire. In the process they managed to scratch the lip of the rim all the way around using the runout wheel on the Hunter machine.

They reluctantly agreed to get me a new wheel but tried to sell me on "having it refinished". Um no thanks, not for a perfect brand new wheel.

I told them I would take some compound to the scratches to see if they would come out. Some came out but I am still not happy with it. They don't seem to be entirely too deep and I think a couple more tries, I might be able to get them out, who knows. Note: this is around the entire circumference of the wheel so it would take me a while to get all of them out. Might bust out the Orbital.

If anybody might have some advice on how to get these out, it would be greatly appreciated!

Here are some pics, before and after compounding once.

Before: around entire circumference of wheel

After compounding: still there but might come off with a few more tries

305/65r18's gonna fit on a +18 9" rim with 2" level? Discount Tire is suggesting 285/65-18 but they're always a bit conservative.

That tire is a 33.6" you will almost definitely have some rubbing at full lock in reverse. Im running a 33.3" on 2" level with +18 offset and had to trim my mudflaps and pull fender lining back but its cured now. Zero rubbing.. Plus im only running a 285 wide tire. 305 would rub imo but probably clear sway bar and all structral.

See here for comparison https://www.tacomaworld.com/tirecalc?tires=285-65r18-305-65r18

Bfg has it at 12.2 and 33.5. If I could pull it off with no metal modifications I'd be fine. Am also considering a 1.5" body lift FWIW, just not sure when.

You might get a slight rub but probably be ok if you run a wheel with a plus 20 or greater offset like the stock wheels. I have 285 65 18 Toyo AT II's and the rub at full lock in reverse with a 2.5" front. i want to go with the 305 65 18 bfg KO2's but Think I'll need at least a 1.5" body lift and possibly bump the front level up to 3" to get them to clear on a -12 offset.

It's been done with BFG AT's on stock 18" rims and a 2" level....but stock rims keep them tucked in, and BFG's tend to run a bit small. You may need to do some trimming, depending on the type of tire you choose.
