slrsly Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 Yeah that was the first thing I checked. I spoke to kicker today and they told me to replace the harness. They won't replace it because of some goofy technicality about them not making it but fortunately I ordered from Amazon. The seller is being helpful. 1
Mike3871 Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 i rec kit and going to install this weekend .. is it just both door sill panels that need removed? and poke hole through firewall grommet? also do the sill plates just pull up like older gm trucks thanks
DCazares Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 Yes they are just pulled up to remove. IIRC also the panel between the doors needs to be removed, same thing just pull on it. 1
slrsly Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 Anyone in SEPA have this installed? I would love to take a quick listen. Finally got mine all worked out. It sounds amazing (even maxed volume) but it's not really loud at all.

I struggled getting it through from inside the cab, so I did that, then just black-taped the harness wire to the hanger & gently pulled it through the grommet.

It sounds amazing (even maxed volume) but it's not really loud at all. You mention that it is not really that loud. What is the audio source ie: Bluetooth, or cd, or flash drive? These stereos stream Bluetooth but drops the db level considerably when streaming Bluetooth audio. I would suggest playing music via CD or a flash memory stick To get full volume.
tsdrumm Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 Anyone installed the sub kit only in a truck with Bose and a 6.2? How do you defeat the noise cancelling feature so it doesn't interfere with the sub? 1

Never really crossed my mind. I play 99% of my stuff through bluetooth. I'll have to try to dig up a CD. On the plus side my others issues seem to still be resolved.
JoeyCreech Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 (edited) I have a 2015 GMC Denali 2500 duramax with a Bose system. Can I add the sub only upgrade kit and it work properly? Edited March 1, 2016 by JoeyCreech

I have a 2015 Silverado 2500 HD LTZ w/Bose, & I did, works great! I do not have the fixed console though, I've heard there is a sub inside that, but I don't know for sure. captmorg77 Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 2015 1500 gmc sierra crew cab Part number 19303117 full kicker OEM upgrade vs upgrade directly from kicker or crutchfield part number PSICRE14 is there any difference
OldDawg45 Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 I added the Kicker to my truck today and was very surprised by the added tones and clarity of highs that this added to my truck. Very nice addition for a "stock" appearance.
captmorg77 Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 (edited) OldDawg45 where did you get your kit, and do you have crew cab Edited March 8, 2016 by captmorg77
captmorg77 Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 If you have a 2014+ GMC crew cab do not buy from IAMGMPARTS they are selling part #19303117 for a good price on Amazon at 876.00 bought it on 2-21-16 it arrived very quickly got it unboxed and noticed that it was missing wiring harnesses for the subwoofer portion of install notified them and actually called them and told them what I was missing they were nice and sent me harness from another kit turned out to be what I already had as it was for the head unit to under dash amp/dsp and I notified them back to let them know it's not what I needed, well they tell me that I must not know what I'm doing because everything I need is in box, so I called kicker and told them what I needed and that I will pay for it and they refuse to help me what a mess, fortunately I can return it but it's been a hassle so do not buy from IAMGMPARTS because you will most likely get a kit with missing parts item 19303117. PS kicker will not help you with any issues or warranty if you buy your kit from a GM parts outlet they claim it's OEM and kicker will have no part of it, they only stand behind if it comes from them directly, crutchfield, or a authorized local dealer
