New 2015 sierra denali?!?

Im actively in the market for a new truck. My 2009 pathfinder has 265k on it, and while it stills runs like a champ is bound to encounter issues soon enough.

 

I drive a ton for work, about 1k per week, and haul heavy equipment occasionally but not often. Mainly, I need something that can deal with the long, icey winters in north dakota.

 

Mpg, longevity, and interior comfort are my primary needs/wants.

 

The new sierra denlis have amazing interiors! Fell in love on my first test drive. I am concerned about the dreaded vibration issue and the host od other problems I keep hearing about.

 

Im currently thinking about grabbing a 2015 sierra denalin crew cab, 4x4, with the 5.3.

 

Any advice or opinions to help point me in the right direction?

Test drive the shit outta it before buying. I have '15 Denali HD with non of these problems (yet)

I Just bought a 14' sierra with leather and all else I could get save the denalli badges! Super nice! I love it! No probs, no issues in 21,000 miles so far. I can't imagine what vibrations you're talking about unless a tire problem? I test drove all of them! Sold a toyota tundra with 230K on it and vowed to never buy anything but Toyota…until I drove this! It's super quiet, super smooth riding! Ford was nice but, that Volvo V6 was a squirrel cage compared to this 5.3L Ecotec V8 and it gets better mileage and has way more torque on the low end and on up through the power band. I'm sure at some point after rapping that squirrel cage as tight as it'll go and both turbos kick in it'll start showing the 10 more HP it claims to have. Dodge beat me to death was was too ugly! Toyota gets shitty gas mileage and they no longer have the full sized crew cab with a 6.5' bed. You can have the big bed smaller cab, or short bed big cab not both and I wanted both. This Sierra is a crew cab with 6.5' bed 4 wheel drive and the other day I drove from Ft. Worth to Dallas in a 65 speed zone with the Cruise on 64mph and when I got to Dallas I was getting 27.1 mpg over the previous 25 miles! My customers I take to lunch etc. are amazed at how nice the truck is. A buddy of mine bought an F150 and bragged about it to no end until he saw and rode in my GMC. He also raced me one day on the way to the lake and after I blew his doors off and he discovered his top speed was 100mph (and I pulled a long way away from him at that point) he sold it with 8,000 miles on it and bought a chevy. He said man I just had no idea! There's no comparison in the 2 trucks! This GM is 100X better and gets way better mileage than the F150 Ecoboost! At 70-75 mph I routinely get 23-24mpg. at 75-80 I get 21-23 depending on wind and hills etc. - Not bad for a 4dr, 4X4 crew cab truck! I will say I have the higher gears (3:23) which I think helps the MPG! Even with the higher gears it tows like a bandit! Hauls my 22' 200hp boat like it's not there at all~ You can't beat these truck in every category IMO!

If your asking people from this group if you should buy a new Denali, I would guess about 85 percent would say......Buy it!!

I just bought a 2015 Denali. It's the best driving and riding truck I have ever owned not a hint of any vibrations.

Love mine. No problems so far. I put a bottle of water on the center console for the test drive to test for ANY vibrations. The new 2015 F150 king ranches are lookin pretty good, but not for $60, 000.

Old thread but worthy topic. I just bought a 2015 Denali 6.2L loaded and absolutely love it. No issues with vibration or mag ride control - best riding truck ever. Also have a 2011 Caddy Escalade ESV with 6.2 and mag - bought it for my wife used and had an issue with a stiff front shock but replace them both and its back to riding like it was brand new. Because of this - I became very interested in the Denali Crew cab for myself.

 

I read here where someone bought a 2015 Denali and had issuess from the start with a stiff shock on the mag ride and the dealer blew him off with no correction. He ended up selling his truck and bought a Ford F150 Platinum - I would have insisted that the dealer replace either both front shocks or both rears (depending where the bad shock was) to correct the issue - this would have fixed the problem and this customer would have stayed with the better truck in my opinion.

 

Sucks that some dealers provide crappy support - someone from GM should hunt down this owners issue and correct the dealer ....

I've had mine for two weeks now, no issues at all. Hopefully it stays that way.
