Why I hate my 2014 Sierra

get a custom diablew tune. thats a good video but NOTHING like the custom tune. you'll spin them until like 35. i had a stock tune and went with diablew, and i feel like diablo sport is cheating people out of a real tune after that.

this makes me want to post a video of the diablew tune on my 6.2

I had never planned on a canned tune. Was just showing how the 5.3 comes to life with a couple of mods. I plan on black bear.

I need some advice.

My local Chevy dealer has a high country crew cab on his lot with the 6.2 but its a 2014 with the 6 Speed.

55,800+ and the offer is looking like if I trade (2k additional money off to trade anything 1999 or newer)

41,340 is the offer with potential another 500-1000 Autoshow money, so possibly 40,340 with my GM Card 3K.

Does that sound like a good deal, it has the cool brown leather, sunroof, nav, ect, basically fully loaded.

I am thinking they would give me 25 ish for my Wrangler that I paid 28k for with 4k miles in perfect condition.

High Countrys are cool. Do it.

Which video? I posted 2 or three. The best one I posted though was that single cab 5.3L, 3.73 gears, CAI, exhaust, and Diablo intune. 0-60 in 5.5s.

I'm unsure why gm is so conservative on their trucks. With a tune you see what real potential the 5.3L has. It's pretty frustrating really.

Exhibit A 5.3l tune + CAI + muffler.

That's awesome! I can't wait to get my truck broken in good and contact Lew. He tuned my 09 and loved it!

What's CEL?

When he did my 09 there wasn't any issues. I had the afm turned off, torque management removed , and speed limit raised to 150 if I remember right. I didn't ever have any lights come on during the process. I hope it goes as smooth with my 15.

Check engine light in the above video

He says nothing is wrong with the engine but then again he isn't an engineer. Idk Id like to see or know why his CEL is on.

That 5.3 looked super fast until you look at the speedo and realize it's 0-60 in km/h not mph

That CEL = autmatic emission fail were I live.

It's throwing a code for some reason.

Modding here is much harder because you have ot be able to do it right to keep from failing the emission test.

They hold the engines back for one reason and one reason only..

To make their overal EPA cap for all of the vehicles they sell.

Tucks sell in North America so no suprise we have our engines throttled back the most.

    • I'm not sure if this should be a new topic, let me know if it's out of place. This my first post. Thanks 85077522 - AC Delco GM Genuine Parts Brake Master Cylinders. Anyone else had to replace this brake master cylinder yet. I didn't do any brake work, it looks like new parts and I've had the truck for about 4k miles, 119k total miles.  When it started to throw codes I did the calibrations with a bidirectional scanner and got the codes to clear but they came back so I did the routine; base bleed, automated bleed and final base bleed. All that with Bosch ES16-32N fluid (please look it up). That seemed to fix it but 100ish miles later it failed again so I ran the same process but with a pressure bleeder this time and got the same results, fixed for 100ish miles. The original fluid looked bad and I thought I got most of it out, it could've been the wrong fluid. The codes; P25A2, C05B0-00, C2A1B. I can get them to clear but not for long. The C05B0 indicates a leak in the front circuit (which is bone dry) so I'm thinking of doing the bleed process on that front again today and I don't know if that's taboo to just do the front but at this point it seems like it's worth the try anyway. The new master cylinder/module unit is supposed to get here today. But now I'm pretty much convinced this install is over my head. I've called several shops and some mobile guys that I know but this thing is like radio active material, scary wise. I did get 2 local shops say they should be able to do it, one says he has the SPS2 programing capability. And with the battery disconnected is there supposed to be pedal resistance, mine is to the floor, then if I pump it I can get some resistance. I had a panic stop prior to this issue which may have contributed from what I read. And on the first attempt to bleed and hydraulic test the scanner listed things to look for and one was any gaps between the pad and rotors which I did notice on the RF corner and I removed the outer pad (where the gap was) cleaned it and the hardware and didn't see a gap after that but will re-check it. I read that if pushing the caliper pistons back then you're supposed to open the bleeder so as to not push fluid backwards into the abs module or it will damage it. If that's true then that's also a possibility from the previous owner having the brakes changed before I got it. I'm using an XTool ip500 scanner. Any suggestions, questions and comments welcome.
