Exactly what I mean, I thought those were enough too but I never sit in the back, my passengers do & in the summer if my AC isn't on full blast with the two vents by the center console facing the back of the truck they'll complain a lot.

I thought the higher end SLT and LTZ had rear A/c vents in the center console. Or is that only for the people who have the center console vs. the bench seat?

I don't even think my high country has vents on the center console. I'll check in like half an hour though

No sir, we have "vents" on the seats which are for the front cooled seats. Guess what happens when those are running? Blowing hot air straight to the passengers. GM at it's finest haha.

LOL! I actually saw that as a complaint when I was looking at youtube reviews for this truck. Strange that they would place the exhaust vent in that manner. Basically if you are using the front cooled seats the people in the back get punished for it. lol

Exactly lol. Doesn't make any sense, the last model (07-13) had the vents under the seat so it wouldn't be so harsh but the new placement doesn't really make sense to me haha.

GM hasn't had center ducts for the rear since they introduced the 2007 models, the GMT 900s. Apparently the current system has worked fine and people didn't see an issue, since they didn't go back to the other ducting like they had in previous generations. The current hvac system in these trucks will cool a black on black crew cab in a Florida summer to a comfortable temperature in less than 5 minutes in most cases. Heating isn't an issue, either, from what I can tell.

Apparently the current system has worked fine and people didn't see an issue, since they didn't go back to the other ducting like they had in previous generations. The current hvac system in these trucks will cool a black on black crew cab in a Florida summer to a comfortable temperature in less than 5 minutes in most cases. Heating isn't an issue, either, from what I can tell.

I kind of disagree. I think that the front passengers are freezing far before the rear passengers are cooling off. There were plenty of times last summer when myself and the other front passenger were cold and the rear passengers were still complaining of being hot. There needs to be some type of cooling system back there

I see what you're saying, but like I said, for most people it's not an issue. If it were, GM would've added them back after 7 years without them. I can understand where some front passengers being too cold (or hot) by the time the back gets evened out. In these new trucks, the center dash ducts can be aimed to go between the seatbacks up front and the side ones closed, to help move the air a little better without putting the front passengers in a hurricane. I've not had any complaints of too hot or cold in the rear, but some people are more cold/hot natured than others.

set to 22 degC - fine for 25 minutes then it starts altering the temperature and I swear the cab gets up to about 26 degC before it slacks off again. I'm constantly adjusting temperature controls to find a sweet spot.

 

In saying that - hot is HOT and AC runs very cold in the summer, no complaints about the output just the control.

The only real problem I see is the initial heating or cooling. So if it's very hot or very cold I usually set it to low or high to get it around normal and then set it to a temp. I don't even do that in the summer unless it's raining since I normally drive with the windows down. So I usually on'y do that to heat up the cab when it's cold. But, if it's a decent temp I don't have to do that. But, when it is on a temp for me it keeps the cab temp very comfortable without having to hear it. Auto also means you don't have to keep adjusting the controls, just set it on the right temp and leave it alone. Usually in the winter I set it on 75°F and the other times I set it to 72°F.

What? Lol, i'd say maybe 5% of the entire world would like the current configuration of a crew cab without vents in the back. MOST people it is an issue for. Especially if you say, would you like rear vents, or not?

No, it's not an issue for most. GM has been doing it like this for the last 2 generation of trucks. If buyers were such up in arms about it, they would've added them back to the K2XX models. They didn't, which leads one to believe that most buyers were content with the lack of center vents going to the back.

Well normally the driver is the purchaser so he/ she is always in the front seat, not the rear. That's why GM never gets complaints, because the purchaser of the vehicle is comfortable. No one cares about the comfort of the passengers lol

      I'm not sure if this should be a new topic, let me know if it's out of place. This my first post. Thanks 85077522 - AC Delco GM Genuine Parts Brake Master Cylinders. Anyone else had to replace this brake master cylinder yet. I didn't do any brake work, it looks like new parts and I've had the truck for about 4k miles, 119k total miles.  When it started to throw codes I did the calibrations with a bidirectional scanner and got the codes to clear but they came back so I did the routine; base bleed, automated bleed and final base bleed. All that with Bosch ES16-32N fluid (please look it up). That seemed to fix it but 100ish miles later it failed again so I ran the same process but with a pressure bleeder this time and got the same results, fixed for 100ish miles. The original fluid looked bad and I thought I got most of it out, it could've been the wrong fluid. The codes; P25A2, C05B0-00, C2A1B. I can get them to clear but not for long. The C05B0 indicates a leak in the front circuit (which is bone dry) so I'm thinking of doing the bleed process on that front again today and I don't know if that's taboo to just do the front but at this point it seems like it's worth the try anyway. The new master cylinder/module unit is supposed to get here today. But now I'm pretty much convinced this install is over my head. I've called several shops and some mobile guys that I know but this thing is like radio active material, scary wise. I did get 2 local shops say they should be able to do it, one says he has the SPS2 programing capability. And with the battery disconnected is there supposed to be pedal resistance, mine is to the floor, then if I pump it I can get some resistance. I had a panic stop prior to this issue which may have contributed from what I read. And on the first attempt to bleed and hydraulic test the scanner listed things to look for and one was any gaps between the pad and rotors which I did notice on the RF corner and I removed the outer pad (where the gap was) cleaned it and the hardware and didn't see a gap after that but will re-check it. I read that if pushing the caliper pistons back then you're supposed to open the bleeder so as to not push fluid backwards into the abs module or it will damage it. If that's true then that's also a possibility from the previous owner having the brakes changed before I got it. I'm using an XTool ip500 scanner. Any suggestions, questions and comments welcome.
