I have had 2 updates to mine and each one created software conflicts making my system much worse than before updates. Started with an occasional blank screen and now issues with phone and iPod. GM says nothing new available...hope they can put it back to the original settings!

When was your most recent one done? There was, apparently, a very large update made available in March. My dealer told me that when they were researching my complaints, the Tech Center made them aware of the (at the time) upcoming update. When they looked into that, they saw that it was a 16G update file and all previous updates they had done were about 2G in size. Definitely not a trivial update this time around.

I do not. I have to talk with the Service Manager this week to see if I'm going to schedule the update solo or if he's been able to get the headlight bulbs ordered and I'll do both together.

I checked to see what version my Denali built last December is, and following the instructions, I see version 5074, with a software build date of 3/13/2014. Not sure what to make of that, since the document mentions 0474 or lower. Perhaps only the last two digits are the important parts, and the instructions are not generic enough for all units?

For reference I have a 15 Denali with a mid feb build and my soft id is 5053

i have a 14 denali and it shows the version as 474. you guys might be looking at the wrong version.

Hmm. I hit Power + Menu+ Home, went to Tuner, and then Traceability Info, and the "Audio Soft Version" shows as 5074 for me. Is that the wrong location?

That is the correct location and most up to date 15MY software, dealer update will only get you 5061. The 14's most current in the Tuner is 478 for trucks and everything else is 477.

And the "Audio Soft Version" that corresponds is 005046.

My understanding is that this large update is for the unit as a whole - not just the audio system. Wouldn't the "Audio Soft" area indicate ONLY that software that pertains to the audio system?

Ember, that is the wrong information. You have to follow the PI instructions...hit Power + Menu+ Home, go to Tuner, and then Traceability Info, and the "Audio Soft Version". Mine shows 000478
