Your 14 HC, will work easily with this interface assuming the HC has the large touch screen My Link.

 

Also your devices navigation will blow GM's, let alone being able to use any other feature your device is capable of viewing over My Link.

New system we just launched this week. Has some pretty cool new features and we are working with being able to view the factory camera while in motion. We should have testing finalized and documented on that this week.

One pretty cool thing about this setup is it reads video from the added USB port a lot easier than the stock USB system does. We'll be playing with that further this week as well...but the few files we grabbed worked without any formatting...which is nice. The clarity on this module is much better in my opinion as well. Only thing I don't care for is you don't have a quick shortcut back to the home screen like the other modules...I'll be working on seeing if we can work around that.

FYI, update on battery draining.

 

My truck had a high level 750Ma+ current draw leading to draining the battery in about a 4 or so days just sitting, low enough sometimes to keep it from starting. I had no warning messages with the only changes to the system was adding the smartphone mirroring so I discontented all the interface thinking it might be the problem but it still persisted.

 

A week later I took the truck in for it's first scheduled service leaving the smartphone interface connected, and ask them to check the battery or charging system for issues. They found a problem with the instrument cluster continually pulling power, and the GM dealer found a software update for the cluster just to address this behavior and performed the update while it was there.

 

It's been about a month since and the power system is still working as it should with no battery draining

 

UPDATE: Haven't been home to drive the truck for two months and the battery was again dead.

 

During the install of the Smartphone Mirroring with In Motion interface, it was suggested to me to use the power outlet on the dash for the HDMI converter power source, as I also reflected in the guide.

 

THE DASH POWER OUTLET IS 12V ALWAYS ON, NOT RAP.
