Weathertech- Not having a good experience.

Bought my new truck, and then added some Weathertech mud flaps all around, rear seat floor liner, and front floor liners. Shortly after putting the mud flaps on, one of the "no drill" flaps came off somewhere. I contacted Weathertech to see if I could buy just one to correct the issue. Note that I didn't ask for it from free, although I'm not sold on the attachment system. Anyhow, I was basically told "too bad", we'll be glad to sell you a complete set. I decided to go with the GMC rear flaps since they bolt on, and a member sent me a set. Now, my front floor liners are beginning to distort. I called about my concerns, and was told to turn them upside down and stack some weights on them. If that doesn't fix it, I was told to return them to the dealer I got them from. Well, if I do return them you can get that I'll replace them with some Husky Weatherbeaters. Weathertech gets no more of my money. Here's some pics:

I have husky weatherbeaters in my truck and I love them. It's unfortunate about your experience with weathertech, hopefully you can get a refund on your weathertech purchase.

I have Weathertechs in my Aspen that look similar to yours so I tried the Husky X-act fit mats in my Sierra and am very pleased so far.

From reading these forums for a year or so people seem to be happy with the Husky ones. Maybe check those out?

I have Husky in my and love them. Saw the Weathertech on a member ride and it looks just like yours. Not so much for made in America these day. lol

Same here. The forum definitely scared me away from Weathertech when I got my truck. Got some Husky X-Act Contour and they are perfect.

I'm setting in my truck in the passenger side, headed to a hunt in AZ and I just checked my Weathertechs. Same distortion. My old truck had Husky Classic liners with the diamond plate pattern all across. They were the best mats I've had.

I had the same issue. Went with Aries 3D mats. No curling and they stay in place. No issues after using them for a year.

I hate to hear this about weathertech. My no-drill mudflaps have been great, and i take my truck thru high-pressure carwash 3-4 times a week!

Now as far as floormats, i too was scared away from weathertechs because of this forum, so i went with huskys and never looked back. Still holding their shape, and i even bought them used! Still perfectpost-148296-0-97584500-1451172711_thumb.jpg

Weathertech isn't far from where I work and I bought my last set in their showroom. They told me if I had any issues bring them back for replacements. We've had their full set in our minivan for a couple years with no issues at all and we all know how bad those vehicles get treated by kids..lol I'm going to give them another shot and report back. The Husky liners just look cheap to me.

I disagree with the huakys looking cheap as i was able to compare huskys vs weathertechs in person and my huskys were thicker, especially around the kick panel and door sill areas, where the weathertechs are notorious for warping. Also, both brands have the snaps to lock them into the driver side but i like that the huskys have the nipples on the bottom side to keep them firmly in place, which the wts lack. Thats definitely a better design especially for the passenger side where there are no locking points.

But im definitely a fan of the weathertech mud flaps

Just my 2 cents

I had the weather tech full floor rear and not over the hump fronts and they were distorted within a few WEEKS. I sold the fronts and bought husky liners and they're amazing. I was a weather tech fanboy for the last 10 years, and I'll never buy another set. The rears look like they were made out of printer paper (thin and floppy), when I have the cash to "waste" I'll buy the husky rear mat as well.

I have had the weathertech mats in all my vehicles along with the stone/bug deflectors. Never had any issues.
