New to the site

Hey, new to the site, just bought my uncle's 2012 GMC Sierra 1500 Extended Cab SLE. Great truck, unbelievable deal. Because it was sitting for such a long time (8 months+), I had to change the battery. Now I have to drive it around until the computer is relearned, according to the e check folks. they're telling me that for late model gm trucks, I'll have to drive through about 3/4 of a tank. Anyone have thoughts on this? Know how long that takes for sure?

Actually it is learning all the time. Are you having a driveability problem while you're re-learning? Is that the reason for the question?

No drivability problems, but they won't accept it through Ohio e-check just yet.
