This...unless you have T-Rex arms.

 

You could just reach around the wheel. OR go over the top, that's what I do.

You can scroll through the presets if you swipe your finger to the right or left.

Yup found em, boy did I feel stupid! Theres 20 presets.

here are some things I noticed that I did not like. Yes they are minuscule but its a 55k dollar truck.

 

No center console shifter like the other brands....step up already

 

No remote button to start...shit even the Chevy Cruise has one

 

Remote Start works but then you have to install the key and turn

 

Shark antenna should be in the middle. The ergonomics of it to the left is just plain half ass.

 

Speaking of antennas....its 2017 either have an electric antenna that retracts or incorporate it into the shark antenna.

 

Besides those little quirks, the truck is phenomenal

I know a lot of you complain about the radio antenna. Which to me doesn't make sense, it does serve a purpose. It is there to show you if something is to short for you to drive under, ie, garage door, parking garage, tree limbs, ECT.

If you have a console shifter you lose all of the front storage in the center console.

 

Pushbutton start would be nice. Keyless access as well.

 

The shark fin should be centered at the rear of the roof and preferably be body color and it should incorporate all of the antennas.

Im definitely not complaining about my truck. I drove all the others and looked at them all. But Ford has a center console shift with storage as does the Tundra. And both have storage. Just little thing designers do that dont make sense. The xm antenna should be centered...PERIOD and the fender antenna should not exist.

the key and the fob....WTF....this is 2017 one or the other. NOT BOTH. And if we have remote start on the fob why not have a push button remote start in the truck as well

 

oh and auto up and down windows. can roll them down with fob but not up. HMMMMMM

Many of these annoying things are preferences to other people. I prefer a floor shift over a column shift on a manual transmission. However, a floor shift for an automatic transmission is a waste of space, imo.

You can have both but you'll lose some storage.

I agree with all the antenna and key fob stuff.

 

If I could disable FM/AM altogether I'd be happy. Hit the hard radio button and it goes to FM.

 

The turn signals on the mirrors seem overly bright also.

I wouldn't mind either, but I sure hope we don't get the knob that the RAM dudes have. Yuck

Dear lord, please don't let that happen.

 

 

The only thing I find annoying is the shark fin antenna. Should be color matched and not be a shark fin at all. Ford uses a small circle for their's.

...or leave the option to delete it.

 

 

I also find the lack of auto up/down on all the windows annoying, especially the lack of auto up on the front passenger window.

I guess GM is tired of getting sued by stupid people.

Can you imagine, someone's kid is getting the arm or head pinched by the window...?

      I have A 2020 1500 5.3 8 speed. LTZ. Transmission problems since 60,000 miles. Started when I go to store in morning to get my morning coffee before work leave truck running get back in put it in drive/ rev no movement step on gas a little slams into gear. Put in neutral step on gas little shake then put in gear and gose.  Shut truck off start .. ok now at stop light stop truck after a few seconds feel a little kick if that doesn’t happen stuck in 3/4 gear shut truck off wait few seconds and start usually ok again. If you down shift manually ok as long as you get into 1st before stop. If not it kicks . I WANT A NEW TRANSMISSION. Now I want a new truck it just hit 80,000 IDK IF ILL BUY CHEVY CAUSE THEY STILL HAVE THE PROBLEM AND REFUSE TO RECALL . Oh I’ve changed the fluid and filter 3 times now. And yes used mobile 1 not ac/delco cause it’s not meeting the requirements that mobile is did use ac/delco filter

      While waiting for parts I have been working on installing the AC compressor, new accumulator, and orifice tube. Also changed out the high side ball valve (original). The orifice tube that was in there wasn't too bad. Slightly dirty, a little bit of junk, but not blocked. Glad I changed it out.   The accumulator, which should have been a 5 minute job, may have just burned $50. Put some PAG in it, wrote the date and mileage on the side, fresh o-rings and gooey'd up the threads and rings with Nylog. Got everything connected and snugged and was going to vacuum down the system, and....   My manifold gauge won't fit on the port. It's not an R12 service port. It LOOKS like an R134 service port but the diameter is a hair too large. There's a sticker on the accumulator that says it's designed to be used with R12 and R134a systems only. So it's not R1234yf. Even if I reduced the diameter slightly with a file, the shoulder on the port is too large so the quick-connect valve won't lock on. I'm stumped. It's going back, and 50/50 on if they'll give me a refund.   Also, I did a fuel pressure test.... Key on, the gauge spikes to about 60psi and quickly bleeds off, like 2psi per second. The fuel isn't going into the plenum, no smell, starts fine, so I'm guessing there's a bad check valve in the pump and the fuel is just draining back into the tank. oh, hell. But, it shouldn't be a problem, pump primes just fine and the truck starts right up. It just means I can't really ever use fuel pressure to verify a leak at the injector or intake.
