How many exclamation points & question marks do you think are needed?

That aside, most any vehicle from any mfg that has taller wheels & shorter tire side walls will equal a rougher ride. That is the trade off.

What they may call harsh, you may think is not so bad or worth the trade off.

There is a trade off with the 22 inch wheels, I haven't driven with the 20 inch, but my last Sierra with 18 inchers was more forgiving on bumps. Here in MA, with all of the potholes, lacking the extra sidewall makes it hit a bit harder more often, and the road bumps can be felt a bit more. Heck though, they look dang good on it.

I love my 18s. Putting 20"+ wheels on a truck that will see dirt just doesn't make much sense to me.

Before I bought my 2015 I drove one with 22's and one with 20's. The ride, to me, was horrible with the 22's. I really wanted the 22's but the ride was changed so much that I went with 20's

Also, I had 22's, 24's, and 26's on my 2008 Tahoe and they all rode better than the Denali truck on 22's

I would hate to see the sissy gripes if they rode in an SLT with the Max Tow package and 20's. It's sporty handling to me! :driving:

I had a 2014 Denali with 20's and no MRC, and now a 2015 with 22's and MRC. The 2015 with MRC and 22's rides better - hands down. On most roads the ride is the same between the two trucks. But there is an old asphalt road near me that has been patched dozens of times over the years (potholes, ruts, waves, etc.) and this is where I've noticed the biggest difference. The MRC works miracles compared to the 2014.

And FYI, Truck Trend declared that the 2015 Denali with MRC (and 20's I think) had the best ride of all the trucks tested, so you can take C&D's opinion with a grain of salt.

Take a ride in my m3 with coilovers on it. That'll bring the sissy out in anyone as soon as I hit the train tracks.

They are delusional if they think the Denali on 20's is a harsh ride. They've either never driven another GM truck, are lying, or are letting dollars from an interest shape the story. The MRC in the '15+ makes a noticable difference in smoother ride quality than those without it.

my brother has an LTZ silverado with the stock 20 inch wheels and his ride is harsher than mine. I have a Denali on 26 inch wheels lol

That was my understanding as well !!!!! (sorry for the extra !!)

I have driven the truck with both the 20's and 22's, I can't tell the difference. Both ride very well to me. My current vehicle is a F350 with the 6.4, Denali with the 22's feels like a cushy ride to me !!!! (Dang did it again)

????????? (Just threw those in for fun !!!!!! lol)

Putting 20" wheels on the newest truck designs w/ the massive wheel wells and the stupid extreme factory rake which w/ a basic level kit results in even more space in the wheel well & equipping the truck w/ 275/65R20 tires is not at all too big a rim for a truck that will see dirt. 18"s are fine and when equipped w/ the right tires do well off-road too, may provide more cushion w/ even bigger sidewall than a 20" setup (although if you're leveling the truck and going for the same ride height as a 20" the 18" AT tires will be outrageously heavy...let alone MT tires.

IMO (and probably the vast majority of truck owners) 18"s on these trucks look too small and dinky - especially in stock trim, if you swap tires and give the truck some lift then it'll look better, but will still look like the rims belong on a circa '98 1/2 ton.

I think 22"s look good on the street but are not ideal if you will go offroad at all....unless of course you're lifting the truck 4"+ and put on tires w/ double the sidewall height...

Lack of rear seat amenities always comes up now with GM trucks.

Last weekend I drove a Suburban to one of my sons track meets which was about 14 hours round trip. It had a very soft ride and a 5.3 and I could not wait to get back in my truck. Truck has a much firmer ride and with the 6.2 it felt like a sports car compared to the Suburban.
