Need help on side steps for my 16 LT Z71

Ok guys i am 5'9" and really dont care about having side steps on my truck, but i am doing it for family. Mainly my grandma she is roughly 5'4" who has a little trouble getting in my truck

About the truck it will get a 2" lvl and it sees everything from pavement to back roads (cliché)

I thought about the amp steps but thats way out of my price range i had bars (steps) but that was on a 2wd ram and this Z71 sees a lot more then that truck did

My dad told me what he had on his old chevy with the 6.5L

https://m.summitracing.com/parts/wsa-23-3725He said these will hold up to what my truck sees vs what I showed him. Since I haven't had that setup is it a slick surface? If need be can a family member use both feet on it to help getting in? (Dont ask why, because i dont know either)

Thank you guys i may do this mod this month or put it off till tax refund season. Depending on cost.

Last i checked guys lowering it is for city trucks and cars 4wds shouldn't be lowered unless for race only.. i seen that sticky but i got lost in the information made it to page 4 before i said screw it.

Iron coss makes a bar setup http://www.runningboardwarehouse.com/5-black-running-boards-chevy-silverado-crew-cab-2014.aspx and looks solid but i do like that second link i think it will provide a better spot for footing but the mounts look weak ro me or thats how they all are?

Why I don't lower 4x4s i think that was around month 2 of ownership 59E1F9A8-58AE-4657-A222-8E6B17201D91_zps

Last/only truck that had steps 5DDC34D5-04C4-40B4-9D7D-92DB89C58FDF_zps

AMP Power steps. Look great, work awesome. I get compliments on them all the time and thoroughly enjoy them. Now my wife and 4 year old can get in the truck easily :)

About $500 max really thinking about the iron cross patriot steps

And my grandma likes them as well.

But haven't heard anything about their products

I'm happy with my raptor series bars. Ended up getting them from Autoanything for $175. Get some of those, then take grandma out for a nice dinner. ;)

I showed her a list of what y'all mentioned so far the iron corss patriot takes it. and emailed the co some questions and it will hold up to what i need. I think the org was ionic gladiator? Board and she liked that but it looked a little cheap as well.

Not sure when it's going to happen next spring but not sure when. Since thats $4something vs $200ish but if she likes it and it prefoms the way i want its a win, would love to save the money but would hate to buy something and it fail or she don't like it. I also showed her cheaper options as well and she didn't like them.

2nd that, if patient enough you will find some factory side steps "on the cheap" specifically designed to fit your truck with all hardware. (make sure they send you ALL the hardware!)

You are looking for a thread like this!!!!!!!!!!!!! http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/193199-fs-gm-sierrasilverado-oem-chrome-side-steps/?hl=side+steps

Did she buy the truck for you? Why so much emphasis on what she likes? Get the steps you like since she needs steps and you are getting some. What ever you get will help her out a bunch getting in but you should be deciding the style and price if its your truck and you are buying them...

    • Because single shot injectors are ancient and multi hole injectors provide smoother running engines and sharper throttle response due to the fuel being atomized better..the best lead I have is a 24lb blue top injector almost everything matches up but the injector will put out about 26lb/hr which is just outside the gm threshold.figured id ask here to see if there was an absolute answer
    • Why is my question?   Any change in injectors requires a tune. Unless you are going back with the OEM part number or a newer part number of that same injector.   Any size difference or type difference like the EV6 style injectors all have different injector data for them. And there is no EV6 injector that matches the factory 25 lb/hr size that your truck comes with. I've been messing with these trucks and tuning them for a long time and what you trying to do doesn't exactly make sense to me.
    • My 6.6 gas lt8 had lifter noise with 28000 miles bought new 2026 and while driven to dealer it threw #1 rod bearing “HD my ass” good luck with yours i hope it don’t turn a rod bearing!
    • When a condition becomes a business model.    https://www.gm-trucks.com/gm-truck-suv-incentives-pricing-2026/   Zane posted this in "Latest Articles".    The honest bottom line   Truck buyers have spent three years assuming this is a temporary condition that will break once inventories normalize. GM just presented it to investors as a durable strategy, on a chart, as evidence of good management.   Inventory did normalize. GM is at 511,000 units and squarely inside its own 50 to 60 day target. The discounts still did not come back, because the low incentive number is the goal rather than a symptom of shortage.   Plan your purchase around that reality instead of waiting for it to change. Follow our ongoing GM News coverage for pricing and incentive changes as the next-generation trucks land.
    • Thought it was raining this morning when we woke. Nope. Dew point was over 80 F and humidity 98%. Zero visibility distance. Everything was 'sweating'. I've seen rain come out of clouds but never out of Pepper or the tree trunks.    Wicked storms just missed us sliding off to the east but by blocks. Heat index about 110 F with air temp in the 90's.    This is  our third wave this month of multiple days of this type of weather. And yet the grass is going dormant and the ground is cracking this side of the street and water up the the hood opposite. Just weird stuff going on.
