opinions needed. what would you do?

About a month back my new 2016 Silverado was hit on the driver's side rear bumper. It was dented and pushed in. The insurance company paid to fix it, and I dropped it off at a GM body shop. It was repainted, and re installed with new hardware.

When I went to pick the truck up, the bumper was still touching the body exactly like it was when it was hit. They ended up redoing the mounting, saying the bed brackets could be bent. I went back the next day, and it looked good this time so I accepted it.

Upon further inspection, it seems they mounted it and adjusted it so the drivers side has the same gaps as the passenger side.

I've compared it to my dad's 15, and all the new Silverados on the lot and this is not the case. In my pictures you will see a black custom compared to my white.

So should I just live with this? Or does it look correct to you guys.

Is there any way for me to adjust it, or should I let a body shop do it. I will not take it back to the one I went to, as they were not pleased with me.

I might be blind but I don't see the difference imo. If you can live with being like that I would leave it but if you can't and want it fixed I would take it to any good Shop and have them look at it for you.

It's a little higher and tighter.

But I think that's a good thing; it looks better than the black truck. As long as it looks the same way on the other side, I think you should be very happy.

Drive on bud it looks good from here. Save that battle for another time. By the way thats a nice looking rig there. I like white trucks to.

Looks like it's not worth worrying about to me but I do understand how we can get anal about our trucks, I do it to.

If anything I think yours seems to fit in there and match the body lines better. The black one looks almost angled up compared to yours, could be the angle the pic was taken from.

Sounds like there might have been some behind the filling station sledgehammer crap going on there LOL. Truck probably needs a frame swap to make it right. Probably too late now to go back to the insurance company, just trade the silly thing for a new one
