FYI for everyone, its $1040 shipped for a pair. I mistakenly thought it was $520.

My apologies. Looking back at my post, I said $520 mirror OTD. I left out “per” in that post.

In your case, if all the lighting portions of your mirror are functional, you would be the rare case where hanress swaps are not needed if you go to DQS Power Folding Mirrors.

Can I purchase the mirrors and switch from you, If not where would you recommend?

Not sure if it changes anything but i do have heated mirrors also. DO you know if i can remove my temperature sensor and install it in an aftermarket mirror that doesn't come with the sensor, i know it voids the warrenty but that doesn't bother me? My understanding is if the mirrors don't have the sensor the check engine light will come on.

Temp sensor on the passenger side mirror is only a requirement if you have diesel.

A little off topic but since the upgrade ive noticed my dqs mirrors fold in and out Not in sync. My drivers side is 1-2 seconds slower than the other. Not a huge deal but it kind of bugs me and I would feel alot better if everyone elses mirrors did the same lol. Anyone else experiencing this?

Just wanted to give a shout out to Phil (PGamboa) for his plug-and-play wiring harness for the Stock DL8 to Power Folding Tow Mirrors!  Between his harnesses, tutorial, video, and the video he shared from

Tinkering Fox, this made this install a breeze!

Ok good to know. Anyone else?

Jim, there are many others that have reported some delay in theirs. No logic as I’ve heard some say the passenger is slower and some say the driver side is slower. In mine, the passenger Iris delayed maybe by 1/2 second.

Jim,

Same here brother.  It doesn't really bother me but then again, to each his own.  Typically I'm very OCD about things but when I'm moding the truck to do things that haven't been "programmed" originally into the vehicle, I'm not too concerned.  Especially since I bought my mirrors off of eBay from two different trucks with two different specification. Now if they stop folding, then I'm going to be concerned ;)

I believe my passenger mirror is also about 1/2 second off. But as long as they fold in and out I’m happy with that!

I guess thats reasonable. On my truck the passenger side stops into position then the drivers side follows. Since there is a "thump" when done folding it makes the out of synch more noticeable since I hear one thump followed by another. I also noticed that the motor on my drivers side is louder. Almost as if its struggling. Either way its all the least of my worries now. Just this morning I backed out of my driveway and hit my passengers side on a pillar. I managed to brake just before but the momentum was enough to hit it and crack my amber clearance lens. So much time and money into this upgrade and one wrong move and it makes you feel like you totaled your truck.
