John,

A couple of things. Part # 23372181 is a set of DPN - GM OEM Tow Mirrors. They are Manual fold with chrome caps. I can get these for $555 shipped. If you can get them cheaper, go for it.

You will need a set of door harnesses that are configured for these mirrors. If you install the mirrors without swapping or modifying your door harnesses, the lighting portions will not work.

Lastly, since your truck is a 2014, you will be missing the light circuits for these mirrors at the door jamb as well. An additional Jumper (RZY - Part # 23387133) will be needed. This is installed at both door jambs and run into a junction box and under the hood.

Once these two things are done, the mirrors will be plug and play.

Let me know if you need any more info. I can supply with all the above mentioned items.

Thanks,

Phil

Hi Phil,
I currently have an 2014 LT 5.3L. I would like to upgrade to the chrome towing mirrors. When I look for them online It keeps bringing me to this mirrors Part number  23372181. When I go through the check if it fits my vehicle it tells me it does not fit. So a few questions: will this part fit my truck? if it does and i purchase your plug and play harness will i have functionally of the new mirrors?  Thanks for keeping this thread alive, I enjoy the information.

Thank you for the quick response Phil.  I am not looking for power folding so if you could do 555 GM OEM shipped to my house that would be awesome as I do not want aftermarket. Also I have not had a chance to watch your videos, is installing the jumpers at the door and hood something that is easily accomplished? Lastly, I guess what am I looking at in overall cost if I purchase everything to make the lights work as functioned?

DPN - Chrome Cap Mirrors - $555
RZY Jumper Harness - $125
Door Harnesses - $285 (-$100 refund when you send me your factory harnesses)

Total $965 ($865 after sending me your factory harnesses).

Here is my video on the entire swap process of the mirrors and harnesses. You can omit the part with the switch swap (since you’re not gaining power fold)

And here is an excellent video from Tinkering Fox in the installation of the RZY Jumper.

Let me know if there is anything else needed. PM me to move forward and order.

Thanks!

Hey, Phil,

I have come across this thread a few times, and always lost it until now.

I have a 2013 Denali 2500 with a  Duramax. It has the small power folding, auto dimming, reverse tilt mirrors with the turn signals. I want to upgrade to the power folding tow mirrors for this truck.

I thought I had seen a post in this thread with a set of tow mirrors that matched what I already have, and what needs to be done to make them work for my truck. Any help and guidance is appreciated.

Would he be a candidate for the aftermarket fold/unfold with fob controller?

Thought on this Mr Phil?  Also will the digital climate control work on a LT trim truck?

on a side note took the truck to a local car show and several people noticed the mirrors and console. They were all amazed that it all worked.  Turned them onto the forum.

hey Phil,

I have watched a few of your vids and read the article, also did some other research. I have a 2014 Silverado same set up pretty much as yours, which currently has power adjust only mirrors. I am not sure which mirror supplier I want to go with just yet but I know I want the tow mirrors with turn/mrkr/spot light as well as pwr adj./fold/heat. is this achievable with your available harnessing? I would like to go as close to plug n play as possible. what is your suggestion as far as which supplier, available harnessing?

My truck is 2016. This upgrade is possible for you, but since you’re 2014, you’ll need an additional jumper harness for inside the cabin. That additional jumper harness is $125.

ok cool with that being said,

im going to swap from the dl8's to tow mirrors dqs's. I will need to purchase the correct fold option mirror switch, from what I gather I will need to purchase your custom plug n play harness and as you said the additional jumper harness, correct? I was also curious about the puddle lamp diode set up as I would like to install leds into running boards for marker/trn sig and puddle lamps, will that work for the puddle lamp set up in that scenario? am missing anything or incorrect?

Yes sir. I can provide you with everything you need for this. I have a source for Mirrors, Custom Harnesses, Switch, and Jumper Harness. For 2014, I also include diodes complimentary.

PM me your needs and can get you setup with all you need.

Hi Phil. I have an early '15 Silverado 2500HD and am considering both a console swap and a DL8 to DQS chrome mirror upgrade. I was shopping Ebay for decent mirrors but just to not overlook any possibilities, any idea how much these mirrors would be through your source?

HI,  on my new truck, GMC dealer screwed up on my order, now I don't have towing mirrors,  its a 2019 gmc 2500 diesel sle, so they installed DL8 mirrors, power heated. I just wanted to be clear. on what is needed.   I have a set of gmc 2017 manual fold towing mirrors that came off a 6.0 gas truck, they are power glass and heated with the turn signals and cargo side light. will they plug and play into my new 2019 truck or do I need to get replacement harness's ? and the temp sensor for the diesel mirror?  please shed some light, thanks in advance

Since you have Diesel, check your passenger DL8 Mirror.  If the sensor is there, the tow mirrors will need to have the same sensor, otherwise, you'll get a CEL error.   There is no telling what harnesses you have..since they messed up to begin with.  If you are able to take some pics of the door harness connector and send them to me, I can tell by looking at the harnesses.  If they kept the tow mirror harnesses and only install the DL8 mirrors, you may not need harnesses.  If they installed the factory DL8 mirror harnesses, you will need harnesses.
