Blower motor, resistor connection

My 2005 has an issue with the blower motor. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. If it works, it works at all positions. I got under the dash, and wiggle the connection coming out of the resistor into the motor, it works. I'm of the mind to replace both, but need advice if it's one or the other. Thanks in advance.

Do the resistor and the connector. Extremely common. They had a special policy that has now long since expired on those they covered them for 10 years/120k miles. What options does the truck have for climate? AC, yes or no? Does it have the digital temp readouts (AUTO climate) or the two temperature levers and fan speeds 1-5 (manual climate)?

Manual a/c with the 5 speed blower. It's a work truck, no options It has already had the plug into the resistor replaced. I'm going to get a resistor and try that first . Thanks!

Unplug the connector and look at it, see if each of the individual connection pads still look ok. They go bad because of the high current through them, and if the connection isn't really good, the connector heats up and burns the pads away.

It was the resistor. The large plug was fine, no burned pads, but the two wire connector to the motor was partially melted. Thanks for all the help.
