i did notice they were way cheaper then the bfg and it was a better tire. biased on a comparison on discount.

i am still undecided on these, they preform a lot better though.

I just rotated them at 7000 miles and they are even smoother than before. I don't have any complaints. They might be a little heavier than the average tire, so gas mileage may suffer a little but they are beefy.

Not bad, i didn't pay attention to mine on the trip home. but i am sure it dropped some. Plus i am about 1.5" above stock tire?

Hopefully this weekend i can hit some back roads and see how they handle. The sr-a's did good in cliche, and mud it wasn't that great but it didn't get me stuck (did have max traction engaged most times)

And the load range E tire doesn't affect ride quality either of course the Z71 is a tad harsh anyway. Running them at 40psi thats what they put in.

Well talked to nitto tire via Facebook, they are very helpful people. The ridge grapper will be going on the truck both are great tires but they did say road noise is less and easier to balance. Probably due to less weight?

Plus everyone i know has the bfg's

I have no complaints about my Nitto, they handle well, look good and are wearing even after 12k miles!

OP - BFG is the best tire on the market in my opinion regarding an A/T as you have installed. I have put a lot of miles (+300K) on these tires with many different trucks over the years and they are the best all-around and last along time if you maintain per any other tire maintenance recommendation. These are Michelin and hence the premium tire in almost all industries globally. Wise choice.

thank you, this is the first set i ever spent more then 200 on per tire. i am glad my money didnt get thrown down the drain, these feel good, and do what i ask better then stock. havent done any off highway use, truck generally sees 80% highway and 20% back road (dirt)

I had 14 Sierra all terrain & still have my 16 with no complaints toward my sra s at all.

glad your are liking them. I hated mine, but wet and dry traction was crap. also made me do a awd tire squeal on going across a busy 4 lane highway since the streets were a little slick. That was bad lucky i didnt stay in it

Had my 16 in the shop they gave me a 17 1500 2wd same trim specs, with the other good year i think ht? Anyway it never broke traction in same conditions mine was out through. It was a much better tire factory.

Some folks could care less about the tires on their vehicle. Black and round is good enough. I am an unapologetic tire snob.

Work a chain up station in the mountains of Colorado and you will see the garbage rubber that people put on their vehicles. No name, no sipes, no tread. Ugh

Ugh, i hate people like that. Don't they realize tires are the ONLY thing that is touching the ground?

My SR-A's at 30k miles. Rotated every oil change. 33psi up front, 32psi in the back. I have 0 complaints in dry, wet, snow, ice, or sand. Went up a 16% grade on an unplowed road the other day in 13" of snow in 4hi like it was nothing.

Nice i had issues with mine and after that plug in sidewall i said enough of it and switched I could buy 2 for the back but i knew i was wanting plus size and A/T tire so all 4.

I did notice 2 things also psi is 50 on all 4. They had 40 and i hate the way it feeled.

1. Hit a bump mid turn, and Hopped a little not sure if it would have done it stock, I drive that road almost monthly,

2. Seemed to want to slide some today. Going around turns at slow speed like 10mph or so. or maybe that was the co pilot pointing it out?

I hope that for a tire that has great reviews that it takes some time to break in, when i drove home on wet roads no issues.

Still have 21 days before i run up on my switch period. Would the ridge grapper be a better choice? Or is it the nature of the beast i have had A/ts before, no issues but always was on the rear, and 2wd.

I know i have a 4x4 so the tires need to be the same lets say i get a bad flat while driving could i use my stock spare and limp to a shop or discount tire if i am close at the time? Or will that tear up my gearing, etc?

Won't hurt anything using an undersized spare for a short while...the differentials will make up for the size difference (the differentials will act like you're making one great big continuous turn).

Well got an appointment with discount tire to replace the tires. I wanted the ridge grapper anyway hopefully highway handling is better, they seem better off road anyway based off looks.

Hopefully its worth it.
