Truck has the automatic shutters. Anyone know of a manufacturer who makes a behind grille LED light bar that will fit in trucks fitted with these shutters? Not interested in installing on the bumper or roof.

Need a light bar that has a remote driver so that the bar itself and physically be as slim as possible. You have roughly about 2 1/2-3" to install this thing

It's pretty much impossible if not impossible. There's just no room

I havent taken the grill off to inspect it but it appears that down new the top of the bumper you could fit one if its low profile. Seems like there is a few inches there.

I am in the same boat, would love to find one that fits my 17 as well....just throwing this out there has anyone considered removing one of the shutters to allow the LED to fit? Not sure how this will effect the shutter system, don't know what triggers it to close and open

I bought the rough country one and didnt realize i had shutters. I looked at the front end for a while and even removed the two lowest shutters (not hard at all they just pop out). The RC bar obviously wont fit no matter what but i think you can easily remove the 2 lower shutters and run 2 individual 10 maybe 12 inch bars, id have to measure how much room is there.

You can trim the fins like the guy did in this thread.

I finished installing the Rough Country Behind Grille LED on my 2017 Sierra with active shutters.  I did need to make some modifications to the grille but was able to get everything to fit.  I replaced the factory light switch with the Off-road switch and Phil's harness so everything looks factory.

So I’ve installed the factory switch and am working on a solution to mount without messing with the active shutter system. I’ll post some more pics once I’m done. The original thought was nylon spacer with a bracket but not enough room. The light comes in today so I’m going to work on it tomorrow.

The light bars are nice, but I don't do any off roading, so I have no need for one.

Were you able to remove the grill without removing the trim underneath?
