I've always had good luck with Duralast. The Duralast Platinum is supposed to be a hybrid between a normal battery and an Optima. At least that's what the manager at Autozone told me a few years ago.

I bought XS, its suppose to be made by Northstar and that was why I got it. Batteries plus also offers 5 year replacement.I run two batteries to have one run all my add ons and another for starting. I did however put a Duralast Platinum in my wifes truck because failed and the Batteries plus didnt have another in stock. It seems to be doing fine but has only been a couple of months.

Xs and North star are different.

I run them in all ur vehicles. And have for years. They take a beating.

What does North Star do different to he XS battery? If youre saying that XS isnt made by North Star, thats not correct, but maybe they dont make them the exact same Im not sure. I hope they do as I have heard great things about North Star.

I have a Super Start Platinum. They are a US made AGM, I believe made by Deka. 3 year warranty from O'reilly's. I wanted to see what the AGM hype is all about, so far I've noticed it cranks better in the cold. Happy as of 2 years.
