For sure, these came in the mail today. Will have an exhaust shop put em on tomorrow.

Please post pics after! Are you attaching them to the stock exhaust tubing? I saw you got the muffler too, but didn’t know if you got a full exhaust kit. I really want to change my tips to quad tips but have a stock exhaust and wasn’t sure which inlet size to get. Is it 2.75”?

sorry for the barrage of questions.

Not exactly sure what the stock size is but it does look closer to a 3" and yes it's going on the stock tubing. Not sure if there all different size based off what the motor. People gonna hate when I say that mine is a 2.7 turbo and replacing the muffler is gonna make it sound ricer but I'm doing it out of curiosity but still want that dual tip out of the side in front of the rear wheel soley for cosmetics. Contemplated for awhile on what muffler o was gonna go with but if this muffler can make a 2.7 ecoboost sound good (although it's a v6) I'm sure itll make a LB3 sound just as good, if not im gonna have the shop put the 3 foot muffler back on and sell the Carven. Luckily I got it on ebay with an offer I made for $75.

That’s cool man! I don’t hate on anyone’s vehicle, even Honda’s with giant spoilers on the back. I love modding everything I own (From guns to cars to trucks) and I think it adds a real sense of personality. Thanks for getting back to me so quick, I hope the parts work out. It’s gonna look sick! But if there is anyone out there (I posted a topic about it a while back) that knows what size piping the LT TB has so I can choose tips with the right inlet, please let me know!

I like it so far. Mainly because of how it cleans up the engine bay. There is a slight growl when you get on it but it’s nothing major I barely notice it. Wouldnt day the exhaust is louder at all. So far I have seen on my daily driving back and forth to work (albeit a small sample size) about a 1mpg increase. I didn’t buy it for this but so far an added bonus we will see if it maintains

Awesome. I’m really leaning toward getting this CAI. Thanks for the input. Last few questions. Notice any power gains/acceleration change? And is this a dry element, or oiled?

When I did stop at the exhaust shop I'm going with, they just did a T1 with a 5.3 and the muffler was half the size of mine and the tubing did look smaller. Sorry, I know that's no help to get the exact size.

Swapped back to the chrome grille, dropping off the black one to have paint matched. I have the grille swap down to about 10 minutes ?

Seat of pants yes I feel more responsiveness. Have gotten on it a few times and it pulls smooth. The filter comes pre-oiled. And not it’s not dripping. Touching the filter I didn’t get any oil on my hands

Doing some serious weight reduction. 2.7 muffler on the left 5.3 on the right. Didnt realize these 2.7 came with a flapper.

Cold start clip. Drones like a mutherf***r cruising speed. Besides the turbo whistle being amped, it's just obnoxiously loud in general and can feel a bit of vibration thru the floor and steering wheel on idle. Already ordered a 22" body magnaflow muffler to replace it and hopefully baffles the noise alot. If it doesnt ship soon then I'll just have the stock one put back on. On the upside, the dual tips looks way better than a pipe just hanging off the back and straight thru flow did increase low end power, is why I decided on the magnaflow. Anyone interested in a 3" Carven TR muffler ?

    • Yea a fluid change is in order here. Honestly, your transmission didn’t even get hot. During the summer in stop and go traffic I’ve seen my 8l80 get up to 216 and it was still shifting smoothly.
    • I'd change the fluid and start there.   198F is nothing for the 8L90.  They typically operate 180-200F stock.
    • Looking for help!   2019 GMC Sierra 1500 - 5.3l 4x4 8l90 61k miles - truck is in Arizona, was over 110 outside on Monday when this whole situation transpired. Never had any major issues with transmission until this point:   Truck sat outside my construction office for approx 1 hour idling before I realized, ran around the job site wrapping some things up for the day and then left. Went to get food and sat in the drive through for approx 30 minutes idling. As soon as I pull out of the drive through and onto the main road, rear tires lock up and feels like transmission fell out of the truck. Shifted to park, shut the truck off and tried again, same thing happened. Was able to reverse into parking lot (truck slammed into reverse). Let the truck sit turned off for 10 minutes before trying again, but it continued to happen. Towed truck back to my house. Highest the trans temps reached was 198.   Friday, after work I start looking into the situation. Truck sat in my driveway untouched all week. Truck is now driving like normal, transmission doesn’t get over 185 degrees when trying to heat it up. Got up to 60 multiples times with no issues, no issues accelerating, only down shifted hard into first one time at 185 degrees. Does anyone have any insight? Never through a code or a check engine light. Truck has never been used to tow either. No transmission services at this point.
    • Atlas won.   I know better, but I did it anyway. I took a compressed air line with a chuck and rubber tip and jammed it in the open EGR port. The port was clear as far as I could see, and as far as I could poke with a flexible wire, but that doesn't mean it's not clogged.   Compressed air blew back at me along with a cloud of black. Oops. I didn't have the rubber tip seated in there all the way. Jammed it up in there some more and squeezed the chuck. PSI was set to 120. Poof! It blew back at me again. Third time...pfffffttssssssspffffffsssfffffff, face full of carbon, and then, kind of a thud..and the air stopped spraying back at me. It was now exiting the exhaust with a low shhhhhh sound as it flowed through the pipe. Something broke free. I pressurized the port again, and air flowed.   Made my day.   Long story short on this problem, it's fixed. Something was really blocking the EGR passages down low, and compressed air blew it apart. I don't recommend this as who knows what debris was sent where. But it's allowed me to move forward, mentally, and onto the next problems I need to get this little S-Blazer going down the road properly again.
