if you are standing in the bed looking at the front of the truck, to the left of the red third brake light there is a wire pair tucked away in there. You have to drill an access hole (about finger sized will do. Too small and it will be difficult to pull the bundled wires out.) you can seal it off with a grommet and silicone. The wires come out underneath/behind the dash. I used the trailer brake controller harness (mine was included in the upper glove box) and I re-pinned it so the wires were correct. It plugs right in. You just need to run a power wire to the pass side fuse box and a ground.

Awesome, I’ll have to check that out! Thanks!!!!!

Question about this:

I'm looking at purchasing and installing the upfitter switch kit for my truck. I read somewhere on this forum that switch 5 is meant for that beacon pigtail. Does installing the upfitter switches connect switch 5 to the beacon with the install process, or is that an additional step that can be avoided so switch 5 used for something else?

Replaced the halogen bulbs in my front turn signals with the LED's in the link below. Picture on the top is the halogen bulb and bottom is LED. I let them run for about 10 minutes without any hyper flash.

One of the best "mods" you can do on these trucks.

FYI I've been running the LEDs in mine for almost two years and haven't had hyperflash once. ??

Absolutely. I've got a good video of the lights flashing on the wall in my garage. It is crazy how much different they are.

Are you using the same LED's in the link?

Yes, the OXILAMs. ??

Now that I have the LED flashers, I look at the other T1's on the road with their turn signals on, and it's honestly puzzling how GM got these new turn signals approved from the NTSB. It's so hard to see them flashing when a little bit of sun is shining on them.

Good to know!

It is hard telling. I'm surprised they go away with only the very small amber LED by the headlights. I've gotten comments on how there isn't any front facing amber lights, then I point out the small one by the headlight. It's almost impossible to see from the front.

I'm still on the fence with doing this. I kinda like the darker halogen turn signal on my blacked out dark blue truck. Thoughts?

Do it. The amount of light these LED's put out is amazing. You can see it flashing at night on road signs and ground around the truck. No one will ever doubt you are turning. This makes the front turn signals as bright or maybe a little brighter than the rear OEM LED turn signals.

Thank you for the link, I just bought my bulbs.  Curious was it easier to reach the bulbs from the hood or underneath?

Definitely through the hood. Very easy.

That looks good! I haven't seen a T1 with them, no.

I joined the club tonight!! 2021 LTZ with 5.3L

traded in my 2010 Silverado extended cab for this beauty! Already got the tonneau cover and the Speed Turtle 3.0 ordered and should be arriving next week. Now to get more mods ordered and figure out the rest of the FF/EMT lights.
