OEM Off-Road Light Switch Install

I have a 2016 Silverado wt with no fogs, Just installed the off-road light switch my DRLs and nights still functional, waiting for it to warm up a bit and I'm planning to wire a light bar to the orl switch, and seeing if I can make use of the fog light switch for rock lights or self done fogs

I personally haven't done this because all my trucks had fog lights. But I would assume it's just missing some wiring on the front harness. I believe Gen5 has adapter harnesses to add fogs.

Has anyone made the oem switch instantaneous like the fog switch? I’ve had this installed for a year or two and love it but I don’t like having to wait 3 seconds to turn the light bar off if I’m using it on a back road and a car comes around the corner

Yes i have. Mine works this way. Here's how I did it on my 2014. And how I'll do it on my 2018.

Reviving this thread again.  Does anyone know the part # for the terminals needed? I tried looking through the thread, but didn't see any references to them.  I want to see if I have the ones on hand or need to order them.  Thanks

alldata.com should have the connector pin types, as well as pinouts and wiring diagrams for you to do this.

Thanks. I've gotten some stuff from phil way back when he was first starting out making DL3 mirror harnesses.  

 

I'll try to look up the BCM plugs in the upfitter manual and see what it lists for the connectors.
