How to permanently turn off auto shutoff?

I HATE the auto shutoff, anyone know an easy to way to permanently disable it?

I don't like it either but at least we have the option to temp disable it.  Wife was in an Equinox loaner while her Cadillac was in for service and it had no option to turn it off.  

 

There was some guy who was looking to build a relay type of box to auto disable it but not sure if he ever got anywhere.  You'd have to search the forums for it.

It has just become part if my routine like turning DRL off was in my last truck

Am i missing something with this?  I dont even notice the truck shut off or turn back on?  Also you can double pump the brake qhen you stop which also bypasses the start stop every time.

Well since I don't put my foot on the brake and then keep holding it down until I stop.  I pump mine all the time.  Maybe that is why my brakes last so long.    So if that is the case then when I get my truck, the auto start stop will never kick in.

I am hoping Range will come out with a unit that will disable the DFM as well.  I sent them an e-mail to see if that is in the works.

I doubt it because it is no longer as simple as on/off.

It only disables stop/start and not dfm on 19s.

If you go to the table it shows that it only goes to 2018 Silverados.  The 2019 models are for the Corvette, Camaro, Colorado, and Caprice PPV.

My stop/start deactivates when the AC is on.  Being in Central FL that is 95% of the time anyway.

You must like your temp Cold because once mine get to set temp the Auto Stop activates even with the AC on!  However, I do not mind it in the least and have noticed a MPG inprovement with it especially in stop and go traffic.
