Just dropped off my truck for the fluid exchange, fingers crossed it permanently fixes the issues.... Let you know how it turns out!

Are they swapping it out for free, no questions asked/tested?

Im still feeling a slightly harsh shift (1-2) after 9500 miles , and would like to know if i can get the fluid updated for free.

Ok, I want to know. Did they test it? Did you just make a complaint with the TSB on hand? How does the new fluid feel in the truck?

Just had my fluid changed yesterday.  Although it looks like they've done nothing under the truck. There are still dirty water stains around the trans oil cooler pipe block and the level set plug. Guess they didn't spill one drop of fluid doing this and didn't have to wipe any thing up. Not to mention they only put 3 miles on the vehicle. How long would it take to warm up to a range of 122-158f just idling. So on my 28 mile ride home the trans is doing the exact same thing.

If I suspected a dealer wasn’t doing warranty work I’d be going to another dealer & make sure the service manager from the first dealer was aware of my doubts & why & then I would inform him it would be the last time I’d ever go to his shop.

I let them know exactly what was going on, handed them a printed copy of the TSB and they said they would check it out. The service advisor did mention he had done two of the same exchanges within the last two weeks. Shifting felt a lot smoother on the way home but I still felt something when I got up to 50/60mph. Hopefully in 200 miles or so it will straighten out...

Is there anyone on here who has had the transmission problem completely fixed? And what was done? Was it only the transmission fluid?

I find it hard to believe transmission fluid is the only culprit here.

Was told by the dealer that they couldn’t perform the tsb due to them not having the correct trans fluid machine.

 

wasted two days of not having a truck for them to finally tell me.

 

ill try another dealer soon.
