Dali555 Posted November 27, 2019 Posted November 27, 2019 Love everything about my AT4 except those cheap ass chrome turn knobs inside. I wouldn't mind so much if they were black as I hate chrome. I know the Chevy ones are black but they cost something like $250 a set. Has anyone removed them and maybe plasti dipped them? Was considering this but didn't want to be the guinea pig... :)
FiatDale Posted November 27, 2019 Posted November 27, 2019 Problem I see with plastidip is it’s on a surface that will be touched often, and more likely will wear off. You can take them apart and have them painted black. Lot of work though
RaisedByWolves Posted November 27, 2019 Posted November 27, 2019 I started to like them when I realized they reflected the red blue and white lighting at night. Now I dont even notice them unless it is dark out.

I HATE those knobs, almost a deal breaker, but like you, love the truck. im glad you posted this, I would definitely pay $250 to get rid of those ‘gum-ball-machine-plastic-knobs’ 1

If the finish on the knobs is preventing you from enjoying your truck then pay the money to replace them. If buying the truck has left you without money then leave the truck completely original to maintain maximum saleability. This is not a criticism as most of us have been in a similar position. Personally this is the sort of change I'd negotiate when I bought my truck. If it didn't bother you at the time of purchase, then chances are you're looking for something to fuss about and it will pass in time. 3

It’s not a deal breaker and I don’t neeeeed to do anything about them, I was just wondering if anyone had ideas besides buying the Chevy ones, to make them black. Was just throwing this out because this is a mods section to see if people out there have modded theirs.... 1
